Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento

"Room was nice, 2 queen beds but those beds were.... older. Had a neck kink all week from sleeping weird. Pillows were nice. Only 1 elevator seems to be working and stairs would take you to street now lobby, so found myself waiting for slow singular elevator a lot. Refrigerator but no microwave, and that was REALLY inconvenient. Biggest inconvenience... NO PARKING AT HOTEL. Only valet parking and then they take your car to a close by parking location on another block. $45 a night parking with valet. And nowhere to park your car to then go back to your room to land up at departure if u wanted to park in a nearby garage at cheaper rate. Alot of homeless in the area and as single woman I didn't want to be walking a block back and forth to a cheaper garage to get my car, so I left it in valet ($45 a night). Also, check for event activities when you arrive. I showed up during a Kings game and ALL nearby parking garages were charging event prices and would fine you if your car was still in garage overnight. After the first night I looked for nearby cheaper parking and found some for $18 to $26, but was told by a local to stay, the homeless would make it sketchy coming and going from parking garage to hotel, ALSO I had more than one bag, did I want to haul it a block or 3 around downtown, NO. So, I stayed and paid stupid $ for parking. Other than that Hyatt was nice, a lot of restaurants within walking range."

"The hotel is nice getting an Uber is difficult and depending on the person at the desk you may or may not get help. The evening desk clerks are a lot more friendly when asking for help vs the am."

"My husband and I used valet for our car and everyone was so nice and helpful. My husband paid our $75 fee. We headed up to our room where we walked into the best hotel rooms we've seen in a very long time. The king-size bed is very soft. The bathroom is modern-looking with a see-through shower. We have the city view room so you can see K Street from our sixth-floor room."

"I stay here often for work. I switch between here and Hyatt Regency and I tend to gravitate towards this hotel more. It has a more personal and friendly atmosphere and the staff are excellent from valet to check in and the bar and restaurant. It is in a busy area right by golden one, so it does get loud during events at night and parking is only valet. Easy to get your car when needed with texting. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Overall, the best part is the location at the center of action and staff who from my experience are very accommodating and friendly, a rare trait in hospitality these days."

"Very conveniently located in downtown. Valet staff was helpful and speedy. Front desk (Unique) was very kind and accommodating. Julia at The 7th Street Standard was phenomenal, just super friendly and welcoming. The food at the restaurant was amazing! We were upgraded to a suite which was a nice surprise, the room was very spacious and clean. We will be back next time because of the staff, nice rooms and delicious food!"
