"Staying here was a last-minute decision and it was a good one! The room was upstairs, very quiet, quite large and extremely clean. The bathroom was very big, simple, with a nice shower (though quite short - if you are tall you'd need to bend to fit under the shower head...). The woman at the desk was very freindly and helpful. It was a very good value. The Inn has very easy access from the mail road but is set back so little noise, and plenty of parking within sight of the rooms. There is a lovely independent cafe just a minute south, ans Ojai is an easy drive. Didn't use the little pool but it looked lovely, and is probably nice in the warmer season. Will return for sure if we are traveling that way again."

"The rooms are much larger than average hotel rooms at this rate. very clean sheets and bathroom; AC works very well. Wifi was faster than any other hotel I had stayed; this is a really good place to stay for this rate; close by to a bunch of fantastic hikes; 10 min drive to lake Casitas recreation area. A few very good Mexican restaurants and an exceptionally good Thai restaurant are within walking distance of this Inn. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I'd stay here again."

"I was invited to give a review on my stay, and after much thought, I decided I would. I have no complaints about the motel. My issue is with 1/2 of the management team. The male half of the management team is lacking in people skills. I smoke. I obeyed all the rules posted re: motel policies. My stay was for 2 nights, and during that time, I noticed others smoking outside. The second night, I was outside on the phone with a friend and smoking. A man approached me from a distance and asked me to put out my cigarette. I didn't know who he was. I thought he was a patron at the motel. I asked if he also had a problem with the obvious smell of pot permeating the air? He then informed me he was the manager and asked me to go downstairs and smoke. I said I would, and he left. One of the stairways was only a few feet from my room and as I was walking to that stairway I realized I didn't have my shoes on so I turned around to go back and get my shoes and there he was again! At the time, I was juggling my phone, a cup with water(to put out the cigarette), the cigarette, and answering the many questions my friend was asking about what was going on) he then started yelling accusing me of "doing it my way " and threatened to throw me out. These 2 conversations took less than 5 minutes max! I was dumbfounded by his behavior. I dropped the culprit in the cup of water, and he left. After an hour or so, I decided to go to the office. It was obvious we got off on the wrong foot. Maybe he just had a bad day? Nope. He still defended his behavior, and to insult me more, he lied about the laws that governed this establishment. He either does not know the laws or he cherry picks information about similar laws that do not apply. Regardless of the reason it is management's responsible to know. Moral of the story is don't stay here if you smoke. If you don't smoke, good for you! Wish I had never started."
