"We enjoyed our stay in San Simeon A couple draw backs to the room. 1. No chairs to sit in. It would be nice to have a couple chairs by the window with a small table. 2. The bed was very hard, we left early this morning because the bed made my wife and I hurt. Room was clean, everything was fresh when we came back to the room after sight seeing. The staff were very nice and friendly. Because of the two issues we will have to locate some place else to stay next time."
"BED BUGS!!!!! Please be aware that I experienced seeing bed bugs in the beds. I love the Cambria area and decided to stay in San Simeon. Upon arrival, I noticed the hotel ‘inn’ was more of a motel. I thought I would give it a chance since it was late and I had my 80 year old mom with me who was tired. We were doing a road trip up the coast. Anyhow, after the two of us got settled in, I went to lay down and I thought I had noticed bugs on the headboard when I checked the sheets (that’s the first thing I do). I turned the lights on and sure enough there were bugs in the bed!!! I called the front desk and no one is there past 10, but the manager answers the phone at night. She immediately tried to tell me there were flies or ants. I know what those two look like and that’s not what was in the beds. I left that place so fast, and I was so bummed because for it being the first time I’ve experienced this, I wanted my own clean bed even though we had just started our trip! Lastly, people live in the hotel!!! The high school girl that they have working at the hotel told me. And sure enough you hear people yelling for their kids and pets. Doors slamming and people running up and down their old stairs. They don’t have elevators and the stairs are outside so you hear everything!"
"We have stayed here twice. Both times the rooms have been very clean and our bed was comfortable. The view is beautiful and the walk to the beach is 2min."
"Stayed here while traveling the Pacific Coast Highway. Nice little place to stay and reasonably priced for California. Enjoyed view of ocean. Room recently remodeled and clean."
