"I purchased a Black Friday deal that included a massage, facial, and halotherapy. I’ve been to several resorts and had several massages and facials over the years. The price point is very much resort pricing with a very average experience. The check in girl Madelin gave me very little direction: “fill out the form, leave it here, and you can change in the locker room”. I didn’t get a tour of it and couldn’t find a robe, the hand soap was out, as was the toilet paper. There are no slippers or sandals either. Celine gave me a lovely massage. The heat packs were a wonderful addition although I never got asked about pressure but I still found it relaxing and enjoyable. Facial (forgot her name) was pretty basic. The table was oddly short and I’m not that tall (5’5”). Basically 4-parts to the facial; cleanser, exfoliate, mask with neck and shoulder massage, and final moisturizer (I assume?). I wasn’t told what steps she was on. No extractions or steam usage. After I finished my massage, the check-in girl took me to the halotherapy room. Having never done it, I didn’t know what to expect, and she just opened up the door for me without any real direction on what I was gonna be doing or experiencing. It was basically a Room of Himalayan salt and for chairs with Ottomans— you just sit in there. I don’t think I would have paid $50 for that if it wasn’t included in the deal. There was a vent that it sounded like some thing that was blowing into the room, and when I asked her what it was, she wasn’t sure. As I was checking out, I was asked how much I wanted to leave for a tip. I know it’s a small detail, but something like “would you like to leave a tip” would have landed a bit better. Overall, for the price, the experience just landed a little short for me. I’m not sure I’d be back again."

"1. No robe in my plus size even though that was specifically requested and assured would be there on the phone at time of placing appointment. Had to fend for ourselves and grab from the mens room. 2. If you think the word massage means using pressure appropriate for an infant, then you’ll be happy. I was not happy. 3. I have plenty of imperfections and expected extractions to clear them, but received none. 4. No flip flops provided, so everyone’s just walking around barefoot on the floor - Ew. Hair, dirt, fungus? 5. The table was made for a person that’s five foot tall or shorter. I am not that person. I was not happy. 6. I was just thrilled to have to pay “the weekend rate”, too. Don’t waste your money here for a customized facial."

"Kind of amazing that this peaceful oasis exists inside the insanity that is Kalahari. My wife and I both got a full body treatment and relaxation massage. The staff was so friendly and very experienced, and we both left feeling like every ounce of stress in our bodies had been melted away."

"Update - the Spa Manager reached out to me and did what she could to make it right. I felt she was genuine and I am comfortable going back to give them another shot. Will update again if I ever get back that way. Original-I booked a 90 minute massage for my sister in law and an herbal detox body treatment for myself. My technician talked about every inappropriate topic you could imagine - during my very expensive, relaxation service. When I met back up with my SIL she told me her full body massage wasn't that at all. She was told to lie on her back and was never turned over through the entire 90 minutes. She was never asked if there was anything specific he wanted to focus on. She said her throat was rubbed for a half hour. She also said her technician talked the entire time. Not asking her questions about herself but telling her her life story. I asked reception if it's normal to stay on one side for an entire 90 minute massage, she looked at who the tech was and said, "oh, she's great". The receptionist didn't leave us an option to tip, so we had to run a second transaction (annoying) and then she tried to guilt me into tipping more than I wanted. Even though we were not satisfied and nothing was done about our complaint. I am a licensed Esthetician and I own a small business providing services. I am appalled at this spa and will never recommend anyone waste their money or time here."
