"Check in was welcoming and wonderful by Juliann. The “heathy start breakfast” did not even have juice. Barely a decent continental meal. Fitness room had only had weights 25 # and up. When using the thread mill, it shorted out the electricity in the room and lobby next door. No mention of the grocery store service as mentioned on the check in card AND no fresh baked cookies were in sight or smell in the evening as mentioned. Rooms were really in need of upgrade. Many lights were not operational. We only had 1 recycle bin in sight. Where was the garbage can in the bathroom? Soap dispenser in the bathroom was in one end of 8’ counter. Sink was in the middle of that. Reaching over 3’ for soap was a little ridiculous. Finally, check-out was horrid. Girl in picture was on her phone for 2 mins until I leaned over and said, “Excuse me…”. She had her half cup of pink boba and waffles on the counter. Guess that was her breakfast. Can you imagine how long I would have waited otherwise?"

"This place is a bit dated. With old broken rooms with poor repairs done and a housekeeping manager that seems to have an authority complex (he wants you to know he is in charge) and a location where you are fighting with chick fil a and in n out for parking you would think that the service would make up for it. Well, it doesn't. The heat and serve breakfast with equipment that barely works is not worth mentioning (breakfast included) in your rate as a selling point. You are hardly acknowledged when you walk thru the lobby. They were selling $85 online but I missed the midnight time so I had to book direct to stay that night and was charged $139. The night manager told me to come back and talk to them in the morning and they will adjust my rate. The lady in the morning said she could not because he charged my entire stay in advance so she can't do it. That I would have to talk to him at night. I went back to talk to him and he said "oh man, I just ran the audit so I can't help you. You will have to talk to the GM to get a refund. End result is that I was staying 2 nights and both were selling $85 online but charged us $139 for each nught. Actually I was given a small discount for the first night. Then when we were going to check out we went to get a luggage cart and the GM some young girl came running out of her office to tell my wife that she could not take the luggage cart without leaving he drivers license. What? I have worked in hotels for about 25 years and have worked for every brand, limited service to luxury full service and independent boutique brands and never have I heard of such a thing. With our bags being stolen just days before neither of us had a drivers license with us so we had to take a bunch of trips to the car. That was not easy as both of us have pretty severe injuries right now. All in all this place was a bit dirty (if you look in the corners of anything), broken hardware like doorknobs and service that is spotty at best run by a young inexperienced lady that this must be the first and only hotel she has worked at that over charged us by at least $50 per night and insulted us at check out. I would probably recommend the motel across the street before this place. They did things that I have not seen done in 25 years of hotels. Very disappointing stay."

"We’ve been on a 3 week road trip from Austin to SF. So have stayed in a lot of places along the way. This place for the price was just great- kitchen facilities in the (large) room, wide corridors, clean and the welcome from the manager was genuinely warm and friendly (I think her name was Amanda). I haven’t bothered to write many reviews but this place deserved it. And by the way- if you’ve got a chance go to Maverick’s country bar- what a fun atmosphere of country dancing (even better than the places we visited in Texas) one of the best cultural experiences we had on our trip."

"I booked a room here because it is conveniently across from Tommy T’s where I had tickets to see a comedian. I am not from the area and my previous experiences in a larkspur landing have been fabulous… but this one was a complete mess. It needs a major remodel and attitude change of the staff. When we arrived no one was at the front desk. We waited along with a lady in front of us wondering where the staff was. We heard a loud conversation next to the desk in the “manager’s office” so after about 10 minutes of no one helping my husband knocked. The young lady, Amanda I believe was her name said she would be a minute and the janitor lady in the office with her gave my husband thee ugliest dirty look like he was bothering them. We literally all stood there for another 15 minutes! I was so frustrated! When Amanda came out she did do a quick apology and just sent us to our room. When we got there it was disgusting. Everything is very outdated. I mean it felt like I was back in the early 90’s with the cabinets and appliances. The bathroom was dirty it had a black ring in the toilet the linoleum tile flooring in the bathroom was not laid properly so it moved when stepped on. I just felt disgusting. I was looking to lose out on the money and book another hotel but my husband convinced me to stay. I wish I took pictures of the room but I was just in a hurry to drop my stuff off and leave the room to enjoy Pleasanton! I only took a pic of the front desk (while we waited 20 mins for a staff member). It should of been a key indicator that the rooms would also be a hot mess! Never again will I book a room here if I visit the beautiful city."

"My only negative is that the smoking is right by the doors. So if you get a room near a door( 2windows away), like I did, and expect to open your window for fresh air... bad move.. So much for fresh CA air!! The breakfast was plenty nice. Actually stayed 2 nights, and had a different choice each day.. that was nice. Rooms were fine. Walls a tad thin, I could here even Norma conversations from the next room, but, guess they had to listen to my snoring, so that evened out!!! Location was great... decent bang for my buck. Fulfilled my, around $100 a night, priorities.."
