"I have stayed in one of the two-room cottages at Fern Grove for many summer weekend getaways with friends. I just tried to book the same cottage as always now that it is owned by Dawn Ranch, and the price for three nights is $3600+. I didn’t believe this could be true, so I called Dawn Ranch and the woman on the phone confirmed the pricing. That is over a 600% price increase since Dawn Ranch took over! The utter hubris is too much, and ruins any charm this place once had. Guerneville has officially been taken over by the Bay Area elite. Here’s hoping another flood doesn’t bring Dawn Ranch to its knees again…! That would be awful for a business that now charges over $1000 a night for a cottage … wink wink…"

"Cozy b&b with cottages for all needs (singles, couples and families). Great breakfast! Great customer service. The property has an outdoor breakfast area with a pit to make s'mores or just hang out. Nice sized pool. Love how lively the garden is, full of blooming flowers."

"A magical place to stay. Jenny and Sherman, the owners; are wonderful and made our stay so special. Jenny is very knowledgeable with the area and made great recommendations for wineries and places to eat. We stayed in a dog friendly cottage and it was perfect for our dog. We will be going back again and again to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of Fern Grove Cottages."

"The cottages are comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped. The setting is within the redwood trees and the grounds and garden add to the enjoyment of the stay. This is a wonderful place to relax. The proprietors are responsive and provide useful information on restaurants, sites and wineries. The location is ideal as it is a short walk to Main Street - the center of town. I visit a few times each year and always have a great experience."

"This is a lovely setting on the Russian River. The common area is perfect for small or medium sized groups to relax, share meals, or play games. Easy walk into town for restaurants or shopping. The rooms are cozy and clean, and wifi worked well throughout the property. The staff really make the difference. Everyone is committed to the customer having an awesome experience. There happy to offer an extra pastry with the included breakfast, or offer suggestions for things to see and do in the area. Highly recommended, and would certainly come here again."
