Reviews
"Room was outdated and floor was not clean. It needed painting and the tv only worked manually. Sink was missing a stopper and no hairdryer. Towels and linens were clean. Only 2 pillows for 2 people. The onsite cars were nice. 2 lights didn't work in the room and no bathroom fan."
"Had a great stay at this motel. The lady at the reception was very nice to accommodate us last minute. The beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this place on the way to mt shasta"
"I stayed at the Bigfoot for about a month and a half, it was definitely an interesting, unique experience. The motel's location was nice and easy to find, pretty much in the center of downtown. The room's weren't in the best condition, in fact my room had issues cosmetically that might turn off other customers. In the bedroom the ceiling texture was bubbling up causing separation and sagging. The blinds on the window were old and out of date. Bathroom was standard, no issues there. The kitchen was nice, but small and the stains on the floor were not appealing at all. Wifi, Direct TV cable, and the a/c unit all worked just fine. So that leaves the service and staff, who were accommodating but often hard to find or get a hold of for anything. Overall it was a good experience and I enjoyed the time I had there."
"Excellent little stop, the town is adorable and this was a lovely place to get a bed and a shower. Rooms were simple, but clean and had everything you needed (fridge, coffee maker, AC)."
"We initially booked 2 nights and didn't check in until after 10 pm. We decided to grab a quick bite at the gas station after we got our key, when we left, a red van was parked blocking the exit, and a man with a full face mask got out and just stood there staring at us. He eventually got back in the van and moved to allow us to exit. When we came back from the gas station, the sheriff was then blocking us from entering the parking lot. Someone had called about the masked man. The owner came out and said it was her family returning from some circus or something nearby. She was clearly intoxicated and stumbling. We should have left then, but we stayed. This motel is disgusting. We were in room 1, right by the office. The room had a horrible moldy smell that they tried to cover up with flowery scented cleaning products. Worn out threadbare bedding, the carpet was stained and had huge burn marks. No fan or functioning window in the bathroom, no toilet paper holder, the toilet paper was just sitting on the back of the toilet, and one roll had already clearly been used. The AC sounded like a helecopter hovering overhead and did not cool the room down even slightly. The door was rickety and patched in places with plywood. Between the smell, the noise of other guests, and the general shady vibe of the masked man, we tried to speak to the manager to check out at 8 am after the first night, and no one was in the office. While waiting in my car until after 9 am for someone to show up, I watched a man with no shirt or shoes, wearing swimming trunks, clearly on drugs or drunk, changing the garbage bins out. I had to call 2 different numbers before I could get anyone on the phone. The owner lives on property and refused to come down and speak with me, she was instantly rude and short with me, said she cleans the rooms herself, which means she knows just how nasty and run down the place is, and still refused to refund our second night, and she hung up on me. Incredibly unprofessional and sketchy. This place is a health hazard and a waste of money and should not be allowed to continue operating. Im sure my already paid for room was re-rented for the second night. Side note...aside from the name, they don't even have a bigfoot theme, and the statues and stuff in the pictures are no longer on the property. They clearly have people they know leave fake good reviews on here, as they obviously attempt to negate every complaint in the 1 star reviews. DO NOT SUPPORT THE OWNER'S AND HER FRIEND'S AND FAMILY'S DRUG AND ALCOHOL HABITS BY BOOKING HERE! Edit** Not surprised by the lies in your response. I called 2 different numbers, a total of 3 times, starting at 9am. I never yelled at you, even when you were rude and unprofessional. It is pathetic how you do business."
