"Good location and parking. Not very busy, it took long to get the food. Food was good and fresh. Not a big dining area. The utensils are very flimsy and difficult to use."

"Stopped here for the first time tonight. The food was incredible. Staff were so friendly and so welcoming. I tried the teriyaki beef with sticky rice and it was phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu!"

"A welcome new spot to get the SE Asian street food I love. Although the food feels like it leans more Lao, the Thai food was also great! I do wish the platters came with a bit of jeow bong instead of as a separate add-on but that’s a minor issue. I’d definitely come back here if I’m on the south side though! Note: dine in can get pretty crowded so I’d probably recommend takeout if you don’t go early."

"We came into Sweet Basil on a Thursday night. We started with the Buffalo Chicken Rangoon and Teriyaki Beef skewers. They arrived quickly, and fresh. The Teriyaki skewers were served with a tomato sauce that reminded me of a salsa derivative, it was very good. 10/10 The Rangoons were cooked perfectly and i'm sure some people love them but I personally didn’t care for them honestly. 7/10, wouldn’t order again We ordered Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao both with chicken as entrees. The Pad See Ew was good but not great. Good flavor but was missing something. A Solid 8/10. The Pad Kee Mao was very good - I ordered on recommendation of the waiter and it was exceptional 10/10. Only critique was that it had very little chicken. Decent value, plates were average size 7.5/10 for value Service was exceptional 10/10 Bathrooms were clean 10/10 I give this place a 9/10 but since it’s out of 5, I have to go 5/5. Reason being it's closer to a 5 than 4 and I don't want to be the one dragging it to a 4. It’s not a 5 but it is a strong 4.75 and definitely a strong offering."

"Sweet Basil is one of the very best additions to the south side food scene recently, our most frequently ordered takeout for sure! Their online menu is so easy to navigate, with separate gluten free and vegan menus, and ultra customizable- you can remove bamboo shoots from your meal or add broccoli or tofu or a dozen other things, and choose your spice level. We love the curries and the noodles and fried rice, and their monthly specials are usually great too. We don’t know what we’d do without you Sweet Basil!"
