"Coming from a Texan I must admit how amazing this bbq actually was. The ribs had just the right amount of bite to them. They were perfectly seasoned and very juicy. The brisket was basically how brisket should be made. Tender and not overdone on the seasoning. You can actually taste the quality of the meat. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the chicken was honestly the best part to me, thanks to that Alabama white sauce. I took one bite of the chicken with the sauce and I didn’t stop until it was gone. Can’t forget about the mac and cheese. It was honestly very good. I really liked the look of the place, as well as how polite my waiter was. I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for some phenomenal bbq."

"Brisket and ribs were very good. Great spicy and sweet sauce. Waitress at the bar did a wonderful job. The beer selection is top shelf. The 3 sheeps bourbon stout was a top 2 beer in my book!!! Lots of bourbon and whiskey too!!! Definitely make an appearance here!!!!"

"I'll start off by saying that the food was luke warm by the time we got it. The chicken wings were just bland. Three plate meal was mostly fatty brisket (not good), turkey was sub-par, and the burnt ends were barely tolerable. The baked beans were disgusting from someone that loves baked beans. The collard greens were tasteful. Lots of flavor. And the smoked onion dip was good as well. Now on to our waitress, it wasn't busy when we came in, she seemed new so we took that into account. We had to remind her to get a straw and NEVER received said straw. Also had people meet us with a kid, and she brought the waters and the beers, and still forgot the lemonade for the kid. Had to be reminded twice. Then when we wanted a refill she was no where to be found, took about to the end of our meal to even get that refill. The sauces were gross. It's hard for me to believe that people actually come here for good barbeque. It was a new spot and seemed like it would be good, but it was far from. Not too mention we all had cramps and got sick not even an hour after leaving this place."

"I had such a wonderful time after failing so miserably to chase my better half around the city. The ribs and the sweet potato fries filled the void in my heart, absolving my shame and regret. It was soul cleaning to say the least. I would recommend it for your first and last meal in Chicago or the journey through the upheaval of life."

"My husband and I have a lot of fond memories at DOC's. The barbeque is always spot-on and they have a variety of delicious sauces to try. Each time we've come, the servers have had outstanding personalities and have made some great recommendations to us. We were bummed that it had to close during COVID but are so glad it's back! I will say, if you aren't already staying at a nearby hotel or are visiting the Wisconsin Center then finding parking in this area can be difficult, especially during an event where most parking lots/garages reflect higher event pricing. Still, it's worth going, and we'll most certainly be back again!"
