"Plugs and wires took over 3 hours, 10 minute job. Didn't think anything of the time, as they were supposed to be doing a high mileage check up(which they did not do).. but plugs and wires took half a day, and cost a fortune."

"Took my wife's van in for an electrical problem, figuring couple day repair, I dropped it off, took the keys in described the problem and told him to call when it was done, since I only live a few blocks away I decided to walk home, this took me about 15 minutes to get home, I walked in the house and my phone was ringing, it was Amery Auto telling me it was done. Ended up being a broken wire that I couldn't find, NOW THAT'S SERVICE!!!!! Definitely recommend this place."

"I would give them 0 star if I could. The new owner doesn't know what the hell he is doing. Charged me $158.00 and did nothing to my car. He did leave his candy bar wrapper and gloves in my car."

"Person on the phone was not very polite or understanding. They told me they wouldn't even look at my vehicle and that I needed to take it to the dealer, mind you it's 15 years old and the nearest dealer is over an hour away. Don't bother!"

"I would not recommend Amery Automotive. After going back and speaking directly with a manager and having my concerns and evidence dismissed by the mechanic about the work he supposedly did I'm left with posting here in hopes that this situation is righted and also providing caution to anyone considering this auto repair center. I expected expert and professional service (especially based on the positive reviews giving me confidence to bring my vehicle here) and instead paid a large bill with 50% of the work I requested not done properly and/or not completed at all. I have a 1985 Ford 1-ton camper van. I'm in the process of bringing it back to life. I brought it here with a list of things to have done. After bringing my van home once the work was completed, and realizing there were several issues, I went back in and spoke with Mike, the mechanic, and Tim, a manager but not sure of his title. They were polite and listened to my concerns but I feel did not right the situation. 1) They were supposed to change the grease in the rear differential. It didn't look to me like it had been done. I brought it to their attention and they assured me it was done. Mike told me that he was hesitant to take the aluminum cover off because of corrosion between aluminum and iron to drain the grease so rather than draining the grease, they vacuumed it out. There's a picture of a magnet sticking to the cover to prove it is not aluminum. And a spot where it looks like they tried to pry the cover initially. The color of the grease that's left in there now (black) and the color of what new grease looks like. A honey like color. 2)They replaced the u joints and one of them was put in backwards so it cannot be greased. (See pictures)Now it has to be taken out and installed correctly. 3)I had all tires replaced including the spare. They did not change any of the valve stems and did not balance the spare. When I brought to their attention, Mike said he forgot (they didn't forget to charge me though!) to balance the spare so they did take it off and balanced it. The old valve stems did not get changed which is a common practice anytime you buy new tires. 4)They were supposed to change the air filter. They did change it but did not tighten it - it was just sitting on top of the engine bouncing around, rendering it useless. Allowing the engine to draw in dirty air possibly doing damage to the engine, Mike told me he couldn't reach it so he did not tighten it... Really? So basically, I paid for my engine to be ruined had I not caught this mistake. I admit it was difficult to do but I was able to reach in there and tighten it. 5) They were supposed to repack the front wheel bearings. There were no parts on the bill connected to these front wheel bearings. The hubs did not look like they've been removed. Mike absolutely assured me they had been done. I asked why there was no new seals installed? No bearings? On a 36-year-old vehicle one would think when you had it all apart you would put new seals and possibly a bearing or two? He said it came apart easily so he didn't put new seals in. Really, a 36-year-old vehicle doesn't need new seals? Mike did pull the bearing covers off while I was there pointing out that he thought the grease looked like new. With all the other errors and issues, I have 0 confidence this was completed. 6) They were supposed to flush the coolant system. There's a picture of what the radiator cap looked like when I picked it up. I would have thought it wouldn't have any gunk in there had the coolant system actually been flushed. Again, given all the other issues, I have a hard time believing this was taken care of. The one thing I am able to confirm with 100% certainty is I was charged for this. Based on the above, I would not recommend Amery Automotive."
