"Great stuff & prices, BUT spent over an abundance of time in checkout line than the entire shopping trip! Shopped 45 minutes, & waited in checkout line 47 minutes. 2 cashiers & approximately 17 customers. If you have patience & time to wait to checkout, it's worth it. This was a Monday at 4pm, no holiday or anything special. Won't be returning until I'm on a day off from work & don't need to be anywhere. Just sayin"

"Small very small selection for any given item you may have your hopes on finding. Certainly huge gaps in sizes, colors, styles. I guess their big ticket items are beauty supplies and purses these days and even that is dismal"

"I had such a terrible experience here this past week, that I will never be shopping at another TJ Maxx or any of it's affiliates. I went there on a Wednesday evening specifically looking for insulated leggings on the recommendation of someone I work with. Even though the outside temperature was literally 0 degrees, I really wanted some warmer leggings (once again, we are in the midst of Northern Minnesota winter), so I got there at 8:30, an hour before the store closed. I spent about 30 minutes looking through their leggings racks, had several pairs in my arms, and went into the fitting room at about 9. I had gotten both pairs of the pants I was wearing off (remember, it's very cold here), when I was asked to leave the fitting room area because it was "closed". When I asked why, all she could say is that the fitting area was closed. This may all seem insignificant, but this was disturbing to me. Why would a clothing store have operating hours where they don't let potential customers try on clothes? What are they even open for then? And why is there no posting on the website and doors saying this? These questions are important because I feel as if TJ Maxx has taken resources from me, the most valuable being, MY TIME. Time is precious when working a full time job and taking care of a home and a relationship. When an hour of my life is taken from someone or something with no benefits for them or myself, I will no longer gamble my time there. I most likely would have purchased something, so it was a loss on both sides. And not only was my time wasted, so was my money. I drove there, which required, heating up the car for several minutes before leaving, and leaving it running while I was in the store (if I haven't made it clear, it was very cold that night). So to the corporation that I'm sure doesn't care, do better. Have some integrity. (You don't deserve the one star, it's just required to leave this review.) And to people thinking about shopping at this companies stores, think twice. Some of you are able to afford higher quality products that will have much longer durability. Don't waste our earth's resources buying the low quality, cheap products that this store offers. I will now be going to some local shop and buying something more valuable and willing to spend more money on it, all for a better shopping experience."

"We shopped here a few weeks ago while visiting Duluth. We bought a bunch of clothes and a wallet. Somehow the wallet didn’t end up in our bag. Called the store the next day, they had the wallet and mailed it to us. Good service."

"Absolutely love this TJMaxx! It's bigger than some stores. The only irritating thing about this store is that the City of Duluth makes them charge for plastic bags. Bathrooms needed some attention today and the front door is in bad shape. Update: they charged me five cents for a plastic bag this time."
