"Current case manager continues to call the client HE after being reminded MANY times that the client is NOT a HE. The client is wearing a skirt, ffs. Refuses to use the client's THEY/THEM pronouns--even though both Federal and State law Require Federal and State employees to use clients' preferred pronouns."

"Nothing has changed with Humboldt County APS since the $1 million court judgement a few years ago against the county over their actions. Humboldt APS currently has a social worker on staff who is a known abuser. He delights in terrorizing the elderly and vulnerable. His actions are not a secret, but the county refuses to do anything about him. As long as things don’t change, nobody is safe growing old in this county."

"They were called 10x during during the months leading to my assault on June 6th 2021. One of the last calls was made by a case manager at my Doctor's office. 4 days before my teeth were stomped from my head."

"Ive had two ihss workers who kept changing the time and dates to fit their schedule. I did this, cause it was better than nothing. But this last one was a doosie. First she lost my ebt card , then she change the day, then wanted to change again. That would of left me with out grocerys for 3 weeks. I've reported this to ihss but they seam to think thier hiring practices are good. So who is going to advocate for elder/ disabled people, if not them. Its sad how we're treated."

"APS social worker Alma Barba has been a godsend to my mother and family. She helped my mom get a restraining order and pay back due land taxes to keep her safely in her home. She was compassionate, patient, and dedicated. We are so grateful!"
