"Unless you're dying, don't go to this hospital. I waited 15HOURS !! Just to be told that everything looked fine and they recommended taking Tylenol. A whole Day wasted just sitting in the lobby waiting to be told that. Never again."

"Absolutely horrible wait times. Expect to spend at least 4 hours to be assessed and even longer to get a room. They might even switch you out for a patient who they deem requires more urgent care. Doctors do misdiagnose often and make you wait longer to get treated. Waste of time."

"Middle of the night, I had severe pain on my back, and I felt that it was serious pain. I searched the Urgent Care & walked in the hospital near my home, but they were all closed. Only place opened all night and closed to my home was Harbor UCLA Emergency Room in Torrance. I took the taxi to the hospital. When I arrived there it was around 2:00 AM. The parking lot was big, but it was full. I walked into the emergency room and registered for a new patient. The waiting room was a big place. There were so many people who were waiting in the room. I waited a short time to take the blood tests & urine tests. Then, I had to wait to see the doctor & find out my test results. I waited there almost 7 hours. Some people were angry that they waited for a long time to see the doctor. I stayed up all night in the room. It was 9AM in the morning. I was so tired and sleepy. I wanted to go home,but I had no choice. I need to find out my test results, so I stayed there until 2 pm. Finally, they called me and they put me in a room with a bed. One nurse came in the room and gave me a couple of warm blankets. She was so sweet, and caring nurse. After that, they wanted me to have the ultrasound test. One woman doctor came into my room with several medical students. She was professional and caring doctor. She told me that I had a kidney infection. She prescribed the antibiotics medication for my kidney infection. I was so glad that I found out the test results. Even though I waited for long time, I was pleased that I didn't have a serious disease. Harbor UCLA Medical Center is the LA County hospital. Also It is training and teaching hospitals for UCLA medical students. The emergency department is always crowded with people because they have Trama Center, and the ambulance brings critical patient to the emergency room. Emergency doctors have to treat critical patients first. Then, they have to take care of emergency room patients next. I know that I have to wait for a long time to see the doctor, but I think that it is worth it because they have excellent doctors and nurses who really care about the patients. They have compassionate, excellent & exceptional services. Harbor UCLA Hospital is a county hospital. Therefore, we need to understand that there will be a long wait to get medical services. Next time, if I go there again, I will take some books to read. Harbor UCLA Medical Center offers a low income or no cost insurance program. You can apply for the program. If you have low income, you can get discounts on your medical bill. And if you have no income, you can get 100% financial assistance for your treatments."

"I was there with my mom at the er from 4:00 P:M -11:00 P:M. I was like nope my mom and I are not waiting any longer so we went home without me seeing a dr. Some of the people working there have a bad attitude. I went to that er because they accept medical L.A Care."
