Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles Downey

"What's really interesting about this property is the facility will not allow you to turn on the heater unless it's below 55 degrees Fahrenheit outside... I cannot verify if the temperature was below 55 degrees Fahrenheit outside but, I'm fairly certain it was close to that in my room. Called front desk asking why is there a fake thermostat in the wall next to the sign stating what I shared above, they didn't care. I'm sure they hear this all the time. They did however, share that all the space heaters were being used by other guests. While I was in the lobby I noticed several workers behind the counter wearing sleeveless shirts, while I'm wearing base layer and a coat. It's because they, themselves, are using these unavailable space heaters. It was two nights set up by someone else. I wonder what the air-conditioning requirements are to turn on the A/C... never again."

"The location of this place is great, the customer experience was horrible specially from Cara from the front desk the way she looks at you and the way she talks is very disrespectful. She is making this hotel look horrible, worst customer service in a Hilton location. Thank you to Gloria who understood and was caring on what I needed. Cara left a bad taste in my mouth and shouldn’t be at the front desk!!!"

"Can not begin to express how unsafe their parking lot is for the price you are paying. Our vehicle was stolen and hotel said they are not responsible for anything regardless if it’s their parking lot. First they said they had two people as security then one person and then that there was no security. Would not give us access to cameras to see how and what time it was stolen. Nothing. If you value your vehicle and peace of mind stay somewhere else."

"We stay at this hotel since my soons were young, we use to come o lot just for fun at L.A and we always stay at downey location., I'm agred with two other customers reviews that everything change after covid for bad for customers but lot better for the hotel gib time. 1.Check in at 4:00 , check out at 11: 00 on change 2.Parking was plenty fore now its limited for the amount of rooms the have(also vandalism broke mi window car) another change 3.when gor to the room looks like a cleaned myself not good.... Cleanling doesn't exist until you ask for it but doesn't happen anyway. This at rooms. Trash at hallways, elevators are dirty, 4.one of our stay lately we found bedbugs we got bite from bedbugs and they just gave us another room and a apologize about it. I believe that already knew about it. Probably they just gave any room they have to people like me that use expedia for reservations, can be just that 5. Bad for our family is the we use to stay there for good location and now we stay at the closer new suites same street it's clean and also brand New Probably it's not affiliated any more to Hilton chain or whoever it's on charge dosent know at least basic Hilton standards who knows If it's nothing else available will be an option tough just to remember our memories there."

"I reserved for 2 queen premium suite for 5 (adults) in my party. We were at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. Did the mobile check in at 2:00pm and picked out our room 626. I get a call at 11:11pm from Destiny (supervisor) and wants to know if we are still going there. I informed her I have already checked in through the app/mobile check in. Destiny said we no longer have a queen bed and was switched over to a king bed. Explained there are 5 of us and that will not work and why the phone call at 11pm they had all day to call me. Destiny didn’t care, her response was there was an error on the app, this is the only room we have, and she can’t do anything to fix it. Wow what a great way to say we screwed you over and really don’t care even though it’s our fault. The hot breakfast is not what I expected from Embassy Suites. You’re given a ticket one per person and only allowed one time/trip to get a hot plate of pancakes, sausage, and egg. You can’t even ask for a couple of extra sausages on your “one time” trip. I understand not wanting to waste food but to so rude and stern about a couple of pieces of sausages. We travel to LA about 6-8 times a year. Our preferred hotel is the Hyatt chain. We recently stayed in September at Embassy Suites Arcadia. That was a great hotel and would definitely stay there again. I wanted to give this location a try as a possible go to hotel. I was so wrong. The hotel room is rusted and dirty. I’ll be booking with Hyatt as my preferred chain. Now I know why Costco partnered with Hyatt brand not Hilton. If you want poor customer service, dirty rooms, and an uncomfortable night of sleep. This disappointing low class hotel is for you."
