Whole Foods Market

"Fancier than most groceries stores and definitely more expensive. I didn't like how open their self serve was or how they sold the older food that had been sitting out for hours at full price. There should be glass doors covering all that self serve food. It looks fun but the food gets stale and potentially gathers germs. I saw beautiful whole handmade breads sitting out for anyone to touch and possibly squeeze. I bought a container of amazing looking almond cookies. When I tried one it was hard and stale and chewy. The self serve pizza looked great but had been out too long and tastes old and was cold. I guess the heat lamps weren't working. It was later in the evening and almost completely empty. Our Ralph's and Stator Brother's is always busy until they close. WFM is fancy but too expensive and has the look and feel of trying too hard to impress instead of trying to appeal to the masses as a cost efficient out of the ordinary market. Take for example Trader Joe's, it's trendy, inexpensive and appeals to the yuppie in all of us."

"This review is for meat counter only. I went on 1/21/2024 afternoon, and when I approached to the meat counter, there were 2 or 3 men available, but I was neglected until one of them approached to me. Since I saw there were only a few short ribs which were all fatty on the display, I asked if there were more in the stock because I prefer leaner meat, but was told those were all they have. That's fine only if that's true. Then I picked one the short ribs and asked if they can cut in English style, but was told they cannot cut it and they only sell in whole roll, then I just forget about it since I am not able to cut by myself. However, I noticed the previous customer requested to cut in square pieces and the same man was willing to satisfy her request, I guess probably he was annoyed by the previous customer whom requested him to do extra works, then in my turn he doesn't want to work anything for me. I don't why they have to play the "pick and choose" games on customers, especially I was in a very good manner during the whole conversation. It feels like I am on their secret black list. I cannot believe this happens in the expensive supermarket. You guys have to join 2024 and treat customers fairly and equally no matter what. I then drove to more afffordable supermarket Sprouts, even the man in meat counter was extremely nice and energetic to work for me, and no need to say I was in very good manner as well and didn't request him to work extra for me. I sometimes shop here a lot because I live closed by, and this is gonna be my last time. Unless I am offered some compensation, otherwise bye bye."

"Love the buffet especially. How would you achieve this level variety at home? And you can still get good value if you select carefully, even after the significant prices increases. Pizza is good also, but since they switched to self-serve, you've got to get it when it first comes out. The warmer doesn't really keep it warm, but just dries it out."

"It's been a few years since we came here last time. It's still the same and it's a wonderful store to go here! If you want to eat healthy food and have healthy habits, this is the store for you to go here! This store is what makes me so happy! I even emailed to suggest an open new location in Corona, CA so that way we can go there more often!!"
