"This hotel was excellent. It seems like everything was just recently renovated because the interior is so nice and new. I stayed here three nights for a work trip, and the service was fantastic. One of the front desk people even opened a champagne bottle for me because I struggled to open it. All of the front desk people were friendly and helpful. Not to mention, Santa Maria is such a beautiful city; I hope I have the opportunity to stay here again in the future"

"Thank you to the two gentlemen at the front desk of The Hampton Inn & Suites Santa Maria. I believe their names are Cristian and Efren. (My husband had called ahead making me a last-minute reservation, because I was fleeing another hotel - a couple blocks south - due to an extremely unsettling safety experience.) Upon arrival at the Hampton Inn & Suites front desk, my fight or flight response was escaping my system & I found myself a bit verklempt as I checked in. I felt awkward & didn't want the two gentlemen to feel awkward either, but, thankfully, they were both very kind and understanding. My husband had made them aware of my situation and coupled with our Hilton Honors membership, they even upgraded my room. Their subtle demeanor and simple kindness made feel safe, which I very much appreciated & needed. The room was wonderful & the bed/pillows were extremely comfortable, and I was able to have a great night's sleep. Thank you again Hampton Inn!"

"Clean, nice service. When we arrived I heard someone say their car got broken into so I asked that person where. He said I the back so park your car in the front. We did and nothing happened to our cars."

"The bad thing about leaving a good review is it may book up faster. Rooms are always clean, staff is always friendly. No strange orders like other places in town. Its my goto spot when in Santa maria, the only negative is they have big swings in pricing based on season and whats going on in town."
