"Please make sure you check the date on the grocery items that you’re buying. This store sells expired food. I bought a loaf of bread once, went home & noticed it was molded. Second time, a box of cereal. Came home & it was past due expired. Utterly disgusting! Check the dates before purchase. File your complaints."

"It's a Mexican market. Most of the people speak English and Spanish some better than others on the English part. A few times I've been there I spoke English and they answered me in Spanish. I must look really Mexican. Go figure. Anyways they have all the usuals these types of markets have. Comparable to Chavez but a much bigger store. Also Chavez is more expensive but the quality of their meat department is better than Cardenas. Sometimes there's a long wait at the meat counter and be sure to pull a number or you'll be standing around for nothing looking like guero. They also have a decent sweet bread section and bakery. Customer service is pretty good and the produce is also pretty good."

"Had purchased an item the day prior that was a propane tank. I returned the next day and the tank was sealed and not used. Arrived with the receipt in hand and as they were processing the return, an employee “Patricia” decided to text a supervisor named “Sergio” asking if we were able to do the return. His text message response was “No” with no explanation or anything. No one explained the return policy when I asked why the return wasn’t being accepted. Is this the kind of service you give to customers? Never coming back here again. And I plan on telling others not to shop here."

"We came here, while in the area, to do our grocery shopping! This market sent an email promoting itself as we decided to try it! It is located on a road away from the main through-fare, which was Mission Blvd! Parking was good! The small mall, where the market is the anchor, had a good selection of Latino stores and restaurants! Selection was good in all departments — bakery, meats, grocery, bakery, deli, takeout kitchen, etc. Service was good and prices were great! Not a fancy store but a great find for Latin - groceries!"

"Has cheap natural/whole/grocery foods, handmade mexican food, and American+mexican junk food. Sodas are expensive here than Walmart, even if you buy in bulk. The place needs to be cleaner and more organized."
