"Beautiful place. Great cellphone service. Interesting drive. Looks like it's becoming more well known as it was full in winter, with 2 extra campers parked down the road. The vault toilet isn't pumped out enough anymore for the amount of people visiting."

"Incredible place to camp for free in California. Bring your van, car, or whatever you have. The views are amazing, the bathroom is very clean. There are bees and they want your water. Best place to camp for free in California, period."

"View is spectacular. Few sites, about half occupied during the week, early spring. I would assume it fills up when it's warmer. Bring water and TP! The last 5 miles getting up is a little rough and very narrow in some places. I don't think I'd pull anything big or attempt it in a long RV. My minivan did fine. This video was done about .5 miles from the campground."

"Amazing beautifuo campground. Table, fire Ring and Shade, bathroom, no water tho. Light dirt road to the top. There are handful of camp sites and other flat grounds that can be camp spots. Amazing view, many long walks. And free. Max14 days stay. This became my favorite spot !!! Highly recommend to everyone. Bring your water and enjoy!"

"This is the best free campground in southern California for the winter months in our opinion. Great views and it's nicely situated up in the hills away from everything else and had good cell reception. Nice and quiet, only saw about 6 other campers the whole week we stayed here in February. Only has pit toilets but hey, you get what you pay for haha! Can get a bit dry and dusty at times so be prepared for that. Also there is no water in or near the campground so bring plenty of your own!"
