"Purchased shower valve for my home seven years ago . The mixer cartridge went bad. Glacier bay is Home Depot's product. They bought the rights from glacier bay. It's a $25 part that Hass to be purchased online. I could only find it on Amazon Home Depot discontinued the part but it's still made by Glacier Bay the only way to replace the valve is to open the wall up this means removing tile and repairing could cost up to $1000 because they won't carry a $25 part to takes up Approximately 2" x 4"I will never buy plumbing fixtures again from Home Depot Home Depot bought the rights from glacier Bay so they could only carry their fixtures. Again, very unethical .! I work for Home Depot years ago they will do anything they can to over sell .there product that you don't need ,the non-professional beware Greg k General building contractor."
