"We had a great time at Mother Wolf, make sure that you make a reservation! We arrived early and sat at the bar well we waited for our reservation time. The bartender was great and service was friendly! The food was very good, if you like Italian Napoli style (thin crust) pizza, they do it perfectly. Highly recommend the margarita pizza.. The pasta was great and done perfectly also. We did family style and shared a bunch of dishes!"
"I recently visited Mother Wolf for the first time after eagerly anticipating the experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by two friendly hostesses who escorted us to the bar area to wait for our table. The ambiance there was buzzing, though not exactly what I had envisioned for Mother Wolf, with a mix of loud conversations and seemingly random music selections that didn't quite match the atmosphere I expected. Once seated, we were excited to dive into the menu, starting with the buffalo mozzarella paired with carne crudo, the squash blossom, shrimp in salsa verde, and two types of pasta. The standout dish for us was the squash blossom—its uniqueness made it a must-try. While the other dishes were certainly enjoyable—the pasta freshly made and the shrimp cooked to perfection—the salsa verde accompanying the shrimp was disappointingly runny, making it difficult to enjoy fully. A side of bread to complement the sauce would have been a welcome addition, as would some crackers or a drizzle of olive oil or imported balsamic vinegar for the buffalo mozzarella and cured meat, to enhance their flavors. Despite the high points, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. The ambiance was louder and more chaotic than I had hoped, detracting from the culinary experience. While the food had its highlights, the lack of thoughtful accompaniments to some dishes and the mismatched atmosphere left me looking forward to a specific experience that ultimately never materialized—except for the bill."
"Huge fan of Chef Funke after visiting his other restaurants so I was excited to visit Mother Wolf. The squash blossoms are delicious as recommended and my lamb chops were cooked perfectly, seasoned well. The sommelier & head waiter were very attentive, gave great suggestions and spent just the right amount of time checking in on us. Our waiter even took me to get a picture with chef -- EPIC! Loved the fact that there was hip hop playing at such a nice spot because chef likes it. Service was fast and food was hot upon arrival. Meal was priced about $250 for two people which is pretty good considering its popularity. I would go back again. Be sure to make reservations. Parking in the area is limited to meters or paid parking lots but it's pretty plentiful."
"Man oh man, what a delightful experience I had. I heard about Mother’s Wolf from a friend and they said it's a hidden gem. After my visit, I would have to agree with her. We came to Mother’s Wolf to celebrate my hubby’s birthday. We came on a Monday night and surprisingly, it was still very busy and bustling. It was lively and all you heard was laughter against plates and dishes clinking and moving about. It was definitely a vibe that I have been craving. Once we were seated, our waiter came to greet us and described the menu. We went ahead and ordered some cocktails and appetizers. The drinks were perfection and the appetizers were mouth-watering and delicious! The Blue prawns were scrumptious! For dinner, hubby of course went off the menu and got a wild boar pasta. I went with one of their most popular dishes, the tonnarelli cacio e people and my daughter went with a steak of course. Everything was spot on and amazing. We ended the night with dessert and coffee. This place was exactly what I needed! The ambiance and the food were just spot on."
"I had very high expectations but maybe I shouldn’t have? We ended the meal underwhelmed and a little confused. First of all, the place is stunning and very well decorated, a good ambiance. Next, the service. It really felt too Hollywood and a little snooty. Although our waitress was well versed in the menu and friendly. She interrupted us half a dozen times throughout the service to ask about the food and the taste which was overkill. Lastly, the food. Sorry but I was expecting something spectacular and it fell short for me. We ordered a few things: the mezzo maniche al cinghiale pasta, spaghettone alla gricia, arrosticini (lamb belly skewers) and the mortazza. The pastas were undercooked with a disappointing chew factor and the spaghettone was waaaaaay too salty. So much so I couldn’t eat it and had to send it back. The dessert however was amazing and easily the best thing we ate. It was the torta di ricotta. For two people, three dishes and one desert it was $140. We did not get wine or alcohol. I think that’s a little steep for the quality and experience."
