"I love this office! The dentists and staff are AMAZING. They know how to get kids to be less afraid of their dental experience. Everything about this place is catered to making sure kids have a great and comfortable experience during their visits. I used to take my son to a different pediatric dentist office, and his experience on his first visit was so bad, even I was traumatized. And this office was supposed to be exclusively for "kids." A close friend of mine recommended Bethel Kids in Lodi and I'm beyond glad that we decided to switch! The moment we walk in, everything is catered for kids to ensure a pleasant experience. The TVs above the exam chairs are GENIUS! It keeps kids distracted and entertained so they're not thinking about what the dentist is doing. At the end of every visit, the kids get to pick a prize from the prize cabinet for being brave during their visit. The dentists and their assistants know how to talk to the kids. No threats or harsh tones. When my son got his first extraction, the dentist told him to "close his eyes because the water will splash everywhere"; he was pulling out the injection so he wanted to make sure my son didn't see it lol. Then, when he started to inject, he said it was the water splashing hard on his gums . IMO, I'm all for the "little white lies" if it removes the stress and anxiety from the child. This is just one example of the many ways these dentists and their assistants interact with the kids throughout the appointment: always making sure the kids are not freaking out or getting scared. I find their techniques impressive and effective- the whole appointment runs quickly and smoothly, and my son never cried or tried to pull away the whole time. Their prices are also very reasonable. Even with my insurance, the other office charged me $50 for a full exam including X-rays and cleaning- even though they weren't able to do those on my son because he was so upset. With the same insurance, my copay for a complete (and completed) exam at Bethel Kids was only $35. The billing lady is very nice and explains the billing to me very well. The ladies at the front are helpful and efficient with check-ins and appointments. This place runs like a well-oiled, friendly machine! Anytime a friend or coworker complains to me about their child's dentist I immediately tell them about Bethel! Highly recommend! Too bad they don't have a clinic for adults"
