"Maggie has been doing my hair for years, so this is a long overdue review. She does an amazing job every single time. I get a balayage and cut and always leave feeling like a brand new person. For my wedding, I also had her do my bridal hair and makeup, my mom's HAMU, and my bridesmaid's HAMU. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Everyone looked stunning, and it lasted all night, even through dancing. I 100% recommend seeing Maggie for your everyday hair and special occasions :)"

"Maggie is by far the best colorist in the Bay Area! She is an expert artist and always nails the look I’m going for (even if I don’t have the words to describe it), from beautiful bright highlights to rich ribbons of dimension, all while keeping my fine hair healthy and strong. "I had higher expectations from this beauty salon, but this place was just OKAY. The two ladies seemed nice, but not professional at all. I had an appointment here to do my hair styling and makeup for a bridal event. I was a bridesmaid at a wedding, and was excited to find a place with good reviews near me. The hair styling and makeup was rushed and was lazy work. I initially wanted a simple half up half down hairstyling with volume and a braid. I showed maggie and the other hairstylist a picture of what I expected my hair too look like. After my hair was done, the braid was messy and thin and had zero volume. There were a lot of fly aways and some loops were sticking out on one side and it didn't even look even. The top was also completely flat, and was never teased or anything for volume like the picture that was shown. I asked her too fix it and she fixed it to the best of her ability and said "that's just your hair" lol I knew it wasn't my hair because I have done this same hair style in the past and looked nothing like what was done. She handed me a mirror so I could see the back of my hair, and I thought it looked fine after being fixed, but definitely looked like something I could do on my own. After I got home, I realized they had not curled all of my hair evenly. There were still straight strands all underneath and around my hair!! I quickly grabbed my curling iron and started curling the strands of hairs that she missed. Moving on to the makeup... it could have been a lot better as well. I am not a professional, but there were things that I didn't like and asked maggie to fix. She fixed it, but was not in her best mood. When I walked out of the salon, I thought the makeup looked fine in the mirror after being fixed. However, when I stepped outside, I realized there were a lot of flaws in my makeup but was too late to go back and ask her to fix it. The biggest flaw was that the foundation did not match my body. It was extremely orange. My eyeliner was still uneven and my eyeshadow wasn't properly blended. Therefore, I went home and re-touched my makeup AND hair which took up more time. I would never recommend this place too someone."

"Having moved west, I was searching for a new hair colorist/stylist. My first try with a stylist was less than desirable so I setup a consultation with Maggie after to get her point of view. She was considerate of the work done on my hair, the amount of time we should wait before scheduling an appointment, what seemed realistic (wanting to lighten my hair more) for where my hair was at, etc. Overall, Maggie is an incredible colorist and stylist. She is super thoughtful about how to achieve the best results for what you want and provides options throughout the session. She went above and beyond and did a stellar job. I have found my Cali stylist!"

"I wanted to change my hair style for the longest time, but I never had a clear idea what to do, or how much change I was really willing to undergo. This al ended the second I explained it all to Maggie. She was very knowledgeable and asked questions about my preferences, lifestyle and next thing you know she did her magic. She did highlights around my face and the top part of my head, which changed my look completely. I just love it. I feel more trendy and chic with my new hairstyle. Maggie is experienced, with a professional attitude and has an amazing vision about the “look” for each individual client. Thank you so much Maggie, will come back soon!"
