"Best dentist I have met so far! I knew Holly - the dentist through facebook because of our special needs kids. She has been taking less patients for family reason. Sorry for the long story on why I went to Almond Dental Care. My previous dentist did a crown on my tooth over 2 years ago and had on and off pain since the crown was placed. I had to hold my dental work for over a year because of the pandemic. This year, my dentist (the one who did crown on my tooth) sent me to a specialist because of the root infection on that tooth with crown. I suspected that she damaged my tooth when she put on the crown since she had to trim the tooth to install the crown. This tooth had a tiny chip from a childhood accident and never had problem for over 25 years until I decided to put a crown on it. I was quite suspicious with her referral and the specialist is not within my dental insurance network anyway. So I went to Almond Dental Care since I can trust Holly as a friend for a second opinion. Quickly, I had an appointment two days later after I messaged her. She explained to me the situation of my tooth thoroughly along with the x ray pictures and told me that a root canal is absolutely necessary for stopping the infection. She told me that I should not need a local anesthesia because the nerves of that tooth are dead already. I was nervous but it turned out feeling even less than getting my teeth routine cleaned. She explained to me on each step taken throughout the entire procedure. It really comforts patients very much when they knew what is going to be done ahead of time. At least this approach works great with me. The pain improved already on the same day when the root canal was done. And all the pain and swallen went away completely within 4 to 5 days, shorter than the 1-2 weeks time she told me. I am very pleased with her work and will switch to her in the future."

"Dr. Zhao was terrific. I had a dental emergency that I broke my front tooth veneer. Instead of making a new veneer or crown, she was able to glue the broken piece back onto my tooth. And it looks exactly like before. More importantly, it stays! That saves me lots of money for a new veneer/crown, and time. She was efficient, diligent and thorough. She explained to me in detail, so that I knew the risk and benefits, and I made my own decision. There's no pressure to get more work done that's unnecessary. I appreciate her honesty. It's hard to find a dentist who is highly experienced and skilled like her, and also honest and ethical. That is precious!"

"Worst dentist ever. We did cleanup with her yesterday she didn’t cleaned it up very well. She was very unprofessional and didn’t take all the necessary steps. When I asked her why she is not doing her job professionally she got aggressive and said your insurance doesn’t pay well and I can’t spend more time on you guys. The other reason that I don’t recommend this dentist is that during working on our teeth when she was getting a call on her office phone she was leaving me in the middle and was attending the call. Even you insurance cover everything and you don’t have any copay she will ask you for $10."
