"A new crown which I had received elsewhere, came off, and my dentist was unavailable to replace it, so I went to Johnson Family Dental. I know them already because I regularly go there for their wonderful hygienist, Karin Cross. I had said I would be happy with any dentist there, so I was assigned Dr Scott (I think, not sure). Anyway, he was amazing. I could tell he really knew what he was doing, and even though it was an uncomfortable process adjusting the new crown so it fit perfectly, I so appreciated his expertise. Thank you so much to Johnson Family Dental for being there when I needed you…for a very fair prize as well."

"They talked me into crowns I did not need and now the crowns are failing within five years of having them done. Get a second opinion even if you "trust" your dentist. You have to live with the work they perform, they do not."

"My intention was to become a new client for the Johnson Family Clinic - Ventura Midtown but NOT after my interaction with their receptionist today - I will look somewhere else! Here is the background: I filled-up their new patients online forms the day before and got a confirmation email that the completed forms had been received. When i showed up for my appointment, the receptionist said that she did not have my info and that i should fill the forms up again. I showed her the confirmation email and asked her to look again for the completed forms. She then simply refused to look for them and that, if i wanted to be looked at, i would have to fill-up the forms again. Before going through with filling the forms again, i asked her what would be my insurance copay today - if any, she said that she did not know and would not until the appointment was completed. With this type of attitude (eg. customer comes last), i then decided to insist that she look for my completed forms before i spend the time to fill them up by hand. She took my request as being aggressive towards her. I decided to not waste anymore time talking to a non-responsive person and left. After all, I thought "dentists are a-dime-a-dozen". Are their dentists and hygienists any good - I will never find out as I am booking myself in another dental practice. Louis"
