"the place is beautiful no doubt. but as far as transparency on the care given, there is none. waited from 10am till 8:30pm just to get dye ran through the heart.3 hours in the waiting room, and then the rest in a hospital bed, being moved to 3-4 different rooms for the remains hours before care was given. the hospital did not give me any sort of timeframe on how long it’d be (which granted i understand things get crazy) but the fact that i had been there all day, hadn’t ate anything since supper from the night before, until after the care- so about 9:00pm- i was pretty frustrated. also, the nurse that had been with me the most of the night had said before 7pm that i was staying the night. so the people who had taken me, had went home. and then after i got out of my treatment, they proceeded to inform me that i would not be able to stay the night and someone who have to come get me at 11:30pm. my folks live, as do i, an hour away. then after about an hour they told me i could stay. so that worked out, but still. just do better."
"Great hospital. Well decorated clean rooms. There are several waiting areas and a good cafeteria. Awesome doctors and nurses."
"My mother went to this hospital having pneumonia. She has severe COPD as well after being admitted for pneumonia which I was thankful for them admitting her 4 days of them treating her they scheduled her to go home on a Friday morning. I was planning on picking her up that Friday morning I called her at 9:00 a.m. everything was still set for me to pick her up at 9:30 that morning I arrived at the hospital and her doctor named Dr White come in the room and said that her pneumonia has progressed and she would not make it through the night had me call family from South Carolina Virginia Tennessee and North Carolina to all come in town expecting that she was not going to make it. Very thankful for Dr White asking a pulmonary ologist and a kidney specialist to look into the matter also. I get a report from the pulmonary ologist saying things are not looking good but with some medicine and time and patience maybe things would get better. The kidney doctor said the kidneys are stable but we need to make sure we keep an eye on them. So that's three different reports I've gotten the three different opinions all saying different things. Dr White comes in on Monday says your kidneys are shutting down your lungs are severely damaged and they will not make it and you have fluid build up around your heart and I forgot to mention she had an heart echo done and the heart specialist said her fine art was fine. And Dr White said that your heart was covered with fluid and was not good. So now we're working on Monday after setting for 3 Days waiting for my mother to pass away family traveling from hundreds of miles to visit now we are trying to transfer her to Vanderbilt University to get a second opinion and a higher level of care. So upon requesting this transfer to get a second opinion and maybe a set of doctors that would probably set down and I'll discuss what's going on with the person's medical situation and be able to tell one story rather than getting four different results from four different doctors. I thought it would be a great idea to have a second opinion so I requested for the transfer the nurse cup insisting that it would be refused I asked to speak to a social worker over the hospital I was told there was not one available to speak to me I requested for the charge nurse the charge nurse agreed with me stating that we should be entitled to be transferred to Vanderbilt University and get a second opinion so now it is Wednesday. I have not saw housekeeping in three days. So I mentioned that they need to clean the room due to the fact that my mother has infection in her body already and a nasty room growing bacteria putting a citation in there is not healthy. So after mentioning to the nurse that they needed to get housekeeping in the nurse got aggravated and went and put a transfer for my mother to be moved off of his floor down to a lower level of care stating she was getting better. Then I have another doctor which is the fifth one now stating she still has pneumonia she's getting better but now she has MRSA also in her lungs. And that don't really sound like it's getting much better to me it sounds like there's another complication along the situation. Now I'm going to post pictures of the trash that I was complaining about and still yet not being able to get transferred out for a second opinion. Now that leaves me to believe this hospital cares nothing about patience care they're only there to make a dollar off of whatever they can and that's all they're here for and they don't even care enough to hire the proper amount of staff to make it all work out. Two bags of trash at the front door the other trash can does not even have a bag and it half full of trash needle caps in the floor and I can go on and on but the point is I don't believe they're giving my mother the best care that she desires"
"I was told by the Murfreesboro hospital and also the hospital in Dickson I did not require surgery or any “help” with a kidney stone, “you can pass it fine”. I took an ambulance one time….was originally measured at 11mm… 6mm is “passable”. No one wanted to call the urologist or pressure anyone to perform lithotripsy. This was July. Today December 9, 2023 I just passed not a stone, but a whole rock. The most painful 5 months of my life and no one would even lift a finger. I kept going back and not be taken seriously… well here’s the picture. Also, if you would like me to bring it in to prove it… would be more than happy. I should never have been forced to pass this. I have trusted you all for so long and blindly, never had a bad word to say… but this was half my year with a new job on top of it. You guys screwed me. You know what it’s like to get on a plane every Monday and Friday with horrific pain down there?! My life has been hell. When it came out and I saw how large it was I was immediately furious… thankful it came out… but furious. This should not have happened like this."
"The Critical Care Unit staff is truly amazing and that’s an understatement. My Mother In-Law recently was admitted there and we couldn’t have been blessed for better support by the doctors and nurses in this unit. They cared for us like we were family, guided us through difficult decisions, and really went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable during an extended stay as we were from out of state. This staff has a tremendously difficult job and they handled every moment in their best way. My Wife and I wish only the best to this staff and you will always be remembered for how amazing you are."
