"Unfortunately, this was the only nearby Medi-Cal dentist accepting new patients, so I came here by necessity. After observing their lack of professionalism and transparency, I started paying for a personal insurance plan just so I could go to a better dentist. In the end, I actually saved money because I found out Western Dental had put several crowns on my treatment plan I did not need, which I would have had to pay for out of pocket. According to another dentist I won't name this is standard practice for Western Dental, Medi-Cal doesn't pay them very well so they love adding unnecessary (not covered) crowns to make up the difference. Another problem I had with Western Dental was their long wait times, including wait times in the middle of procedures where the staff would mysteriously disappear for periods of time; they once left me on the chair so long my local anaesthetic was wearing off by the time they started the procedure. I highly recommend buying a personal dental plan and getting away from Medi-Cal dentists like these guys, especially if you need a lot of serious work done, it is a hassle but worth it in the long run"

"I had my work done at the freedom location. Staff was kind and did a great job. Especially Soledad who was kind and made sure I knew how to floss my crown. As I was being numbed with a needle they tapped my Shoulder to comfort me. I think that was also soledad. Front desk is very kind and welcoming. One even remember everyone's name and face."

At the beginning I had a lot of questions about billing and insurance, but the lady at the front Nancy helped me through the whole process and explained everything in detail. "Half my front chipped fell off Sunday night, I make a phone call and on Tuesday morning I went in. Within an hour my tooth looks like nothing was ever wrong. Stephanie Vargas and Kimberley in the front desk were very kind. Dr. Stacey and her assistant Alondra made the procedure very simple and easy aswell. Love how my tooth came out, no complaints."
