"I am new to the area and searched for a hair studio and initially choose In Bloom because of their online booking system, and having plenty of time slots open the day I wanted to get a haircut. I will now be a returning client to In Bloom because of getting a great haircut, and having a great overall experience. In Bloom is actually in a former house. Each stylist has their own room as kind of their own private mini-salon. Jilian was my stylist and I will definitely be booking with her again for my next haircut. First, she was very good about me describing and showing my former haircut style from my other stylist. Then she was great about adding her own personal touches and updating my hairstyle, letting me know each step of the way. To finish things up, she gave me excellent tips for how to apply product to my new hairstyle as well! Plus, she is a good conversationalist. I highly recommend Jilian for men's haircuts in the Monterey area!"

"This was my first time getting my hair done in Monterey, so I picked the place with the best reviews. In hindsight, I’m shocked this place has so many good reviews given the quality of my service. I’ve had my hair colored a number of times in the past, so I’m very familiar with the process. I showed my stylist (Kristen) a picture of what I’d like, and she got started. My first problem was with the bleaching. It was rushed and choppy. My hair looks like it was done three months ago because of how far the bleach was put from the roots. It’s also horribly uneven around my head, way more bleached on my right side than my left. I’m not a fan of the product she used either. I don’t know what’s wrong with it, but each bleached strand of hair looks splotchy. They’re not even fully one color! My next problem was with the toner. It was done carelessly. I’m left with bleached, non-toned patches of hair around my face. It looks horrible. And the color isn’t even want I wanted. I asked specifically for my hair to come out like the photo I attached. Clearly that didn’t happen. On top of it all, I was charged $200. Absolutely ridiculous. I’d understand that fee if she did a good job and my hair was three feet long, but that’s simply not the case. I’m so disappointed and I’m devastated I wasted my money. Definitely will not be recommending this salon to anyone. I will be sure they and myself look for other salons in the future."

"Yesterday I went into Bloom Salon and was greeted by the very talented Kristin. She got me checked in and took me back to her station. I my self am a hairdresser and was very apprehensive about getting my hair done. From the start Kristin made me very comfortable and was super sweet. I came in will my hair having tons of warmer, brassier colors. I told Kristin I wanted my hair to be ashier and I wanted the warmer tones gone. She was very positive and knew exactly which direction would be best to get a great outcome for my hair. She was very personable and offered me coffee, in the cutest little glass cup. Coffee was great! When the service was finished. Kristin had given me exactly what I wanted. A beautiful, very natural looking ashy balayage. She refreshed and blended my root color in and over all, fixed the color of my hair and made me love my hair all over again. When I asked her to blend the hair around my face, she did exactly that. I absolutely love my hair. I would one hundred percent recommend Kristin. If you're looking for a stylist that you can trust, Kristin is your girl! As far as the salon. It was very quaint and quite. It smelled great and everyone was very nice. Great location and service."
