"Not much to expect for a dirt lot. But being close to the crossing, and close to Julian and Borrego Springs makes it a nice rest stop if on the road for a spell. My son and I stopped here just to change and make a quick meal. Flat, plenty of room. Got there early in the morning (5am) and the coyotes were in full force. But they stayed away. All in all not a bad place for a breather."

"Stayed here a month camping. Excellent Verizon 4G signal here. Only saw a State Park ranger once, and she indicated that We were allowed to camp here for 30 days max. Most quiet camping here. Coyotes can be heard at night. The town of Borrego Springs is just 30 minutes drive. Very close access to Pacific Crest Trail."
