"Disappointing Service and Unconcerned Owner” I recently dined at Charcoal Restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the food itself was commendable, the service was abysmal. Rude Servers: The waitstaff seemed disinterested and inattentive. One moment they were there, and the next, they vanished into thin air. It felt like summoning a genie just to get their attention. If you have an eternity to spare for dinner, this is your spot. Bus Boys’ Behavior: The bus boys took rudeness to a whole new level. Their indifference bordered on hostility. Perhaps they were auditioning for a role in a silent film – they barely acknowledged our existence. Owner’s Apathy: The cherry on top was the owner, (if you’re reading this, Mr god, pay attention!). Despite the lackluster service, he seemed blissfully unaware. Maybe he’s mastered the art of selective blindness. Verdict: If you’re a fan of waiting interminably for your meal and enjoy being treated like an inconvenience, Charcoal Restaurant is your haven. Otherwise, steer clear. This place as nothing to be compared to Jerusalem, Israeli or middle Eastern eastern food. And on top if all they adding automatically 20% tip (189$) Of course we asked immediately to take it out from the bill. Shame ! All come cold and sweet. Rather to eat thai food, Dont get confused by the reviews they have in google page. probably they buying it from marketing company."
"I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service from Patrick during my recent visit to the restaurant. Not only did he make sure we enjoyed our meal, but his attentive and proactive approach stood out. When we expressed dissatisfaction with a dish, Patrick swiftly addressed the issue, providing quick solutions and ensuring we received top-notch customer service. His dedication to ensuring a positive dining experience truly made our visit memorable."
"Food was excellent but very expensive. Attentive service but it took almost an hour to get our appetizers and over 1.5 to see our entrees; note it was Christmas and they were really busy and the atmosphere was pleasant. The Arak drinks were delicious (citrusy and not over sweet), and very potent."
"Ranking of dishes we ordered: 1. Charcoal cauliflower 2. Siniya (ground lamb and charred eggplant) 3. Mushroom hummus 4. Jerusalem mix Loved the cauliflower and siniya. Hummus was super creamy smooth, rich nutty flavor. Portions are larger than expected. Service was really good, everyone was so nice and even the chefs said hello as we were being seated. Came here because I always walk by and this restaurant is always bustling with joyful energy from the people sitting outside. Glad I finally tried it and it lived up to my own hype."
"I had the pleasure of dining at Charcoal and it was a fantastic experience! The steaks were mouthwatering and the flavors were out of this world. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place for meat lovers!"
