"Decided to try Sunday brunch and not venture far from the Mission as it was a very rainy day. The menu appeared enticing and do we wandered in without checking previous reviews - but it was a treat for all of our senses! My wife’s eggs were loaded with fresh vegetables and my waffle with Meyer lemon topping was fantastic. Service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere casual and refreshing. We would definitely go back and recommend."

"I really wanted to like this place as the menu looked good online, but it was a really bad experience. We got seated at a tiny table by the bathroom that was quite tight. There was one other smaller table across from us and they kept seating people at that table and everyone asked to be moved until the fifth time was a charm. Maybe they should get the hint nobody wants to sit by the bathroom and waiter stand. Then the waitress was over the top in her lengthy descriptions of everything from the cocktails to the soup, etc when we hadn’t asked for detailed explanations. The appetizer portions were absurd — well the meat portion of the appetizers were small but they gave you a ridiculous amount of rustic bread. And they load everything up with so much cheese, sauces, etc that you can’t enjoy the basic ingredient. Every chef knows if you start with good basic ingredients you don’t need to do much and that was probably the issue here — everything had way too many ingredients. The bone marrow should have been really good (the one at Glaspar far exceeds this one) as it is all cheese and capers and no bone marrow. The sea bass was good, but it was served atop this ridiculous portion of mixed vegetables that you couldn’t even cut it. And the strip steak was horrible — not even sure it was beef and the mashed potatoes had more blue cheese on them than potatoes. It turned my stomach so bad we just asked for the check and left. Will never go back."

"Great location with amazing atmosphere and views of the Mission San Juan Capistrano. All the food was amazing from the appetizers to the main course and the dessert was damned good too. 7 of us got an array of food. Porkchop, sea bass, steak flasteak burgers and the bacon wrapped meatloaf. Not one complaint. Will return soon."

"I've been here twice with friends and both times it was fabulous! The zucchini flower starter is to die for. We've also tried the pork belly gnocchi, steak, sea bass, pork chop, and their ice cream and cheesecake plus much more! Their drinks and food are absolutely delicious! I had so much fun the last time I went and I can't wait to have another girl's night out here. 10/10 loved it and I highly recommend it ❤️. Thank you Bloom staff you rock!"
