"Dined in here on a Friday night with a reservation and was seated right away. All of the food we tried tasted amazing but what stood out was the yellowtail sashimi. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and so flavorful. The shrimp tacos were really good and I loved how crispy they were. Their spicy edamame was probably one of the best I’ve had. The sake we had was very smooth. Our server was attentive. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely return."

Love love love Peruvian style sushi! 6 and 8 piece tasting menu which features their all stars Scallops Hamachi Tostada Dusty Roll I docked a star for atmosphere because they kept the door open and it was so cold! "Hands down our favorite sushi spot in Long Beach. We're regulars at the location in Bixby knolls and first time visitor to the 2nd street location. Glad to see the food is consistent at both places. Eduardo's grilled scallops are still my favorite, and we've tried them all over the world to see if anyone can compare. My partner always ends up texting Daiwa letting her know Eduardo's are still the best, we did that on our last trip to Buenos Aires."

"Sushi Nikkei is my favorite restaurant in Long Beach and I was very excited to try their new location in Belmont Shore on the first night. The menu is the same as the Bixby Knolls restaurant and I ordered my usual lineup (grilled scallops, ceviche, Sushi Nikkei tasting, and toro) plus more since it was my friend’s first time. We enjoyed everything immensely and my friend said it will be hard trying any other spot in LB when she visits since she will always want Sushi Nikkei. Now we have two spots to choose from. Daiwa and Eduardo did a great job renovating the space. Their team works well together and it was nice to see familiar faces and a restaurant full of people. Kudos to them for providing a community where you feel like family and get to enjoy fresh high quality sushi at the same time."
