"The atmosphere is like a nice coffee shop/cafe but the food quality is excellent! The cafe name and the atmosphere are very deceiving. The food brought back memories of our trip to Florence last year! Pasta is fresh, sauces are rich. Had the amatriciana with a unique pasta shape and my husband had the Bolognese. All so fresh and good. The mussels app - excellent! Fresh and the tomato based sauce they were cooked in absolutely required more bread to soak it all up. Prices were extremely reasonable, very limited wine list but don't let that stop you if you want really good, fresh, reasonably priced pasta. Can't wait to go back. They also sell pastas and sauces for you to make at home."

"Fresh pasta in terms of both seafood and noodles. It is refreshing to eat both black ink spagetthi with tomato sauce and the regular noodle with white wine sauce. The flavor is just right, not overpowering the natural flavor of seafood. And yes, shrimp, mussels and clams here has natural flavor of seafood, not dry or rubbery at all. The service is a bit slow but we are pleased with a nice bread so it is worth the wait. In any event, this is another solid place for true Italian pasta that lets everything shine."

"I had the pleasure of dining at Sapore Express to celebrate my son’s birthday with family. And I must say, I was blown away by the quality of their homemade pasta and sauce options. From the classic carbonara to the creamy alfredo to the excellent squid ink pasta and veal piccata, there was something for everyone's taste buds. But what truly set this place apart was the exceptional service provided by Oswaldo. Even when the restaurant was busy, he went above and beyond to make sure that our dining experience was enjoyable. It was impressive to see him handle everything so seamlessly, truly a one-man show. Sapore Express is a hidden gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious Italian food and outstanding service. Five stars all around!"

"Limited seating at this place but definitely worth it. There was two employees on the floor and a couple of large parties. The guy looked a little frazzled - didn’t know how to multitask (table next to us sat for awhile to pay the bill and the looks on their faces expressed their irritation). There was a lot of people traffic coming in as they were picking up their food or ordering from Uber Eats/Door Dash. So you know this place is popular. My Table of four ordered an appetizer but longer for our food. The owner / chefs acknowledged this and provided us two complimentary appetizers. When our food arrived, we were already full from the appetizers. We all had a few bites, but wow the freshness of the seasoning and flavor of the sauce melted my tastebuds. The plates could be easily shared by two people. We took our food home for leftovers. It still had the savory taste as if were at the restaurant. Notes: -Only one restroom -Surcharge of $3.75"

"Despite the name, this is also a sit-down restaurant. It's a branch of the Burlingame restaurant. The food is outstanding Italian with very nice, strong flavors. The noodles are al dente with a nice chew. Loved it! Service can be slow since the entire FOH is 1-2 people and it does get busy. So, come with plenty of time to spare if you plan to sit down. You can't go wrong with getting it togo either"
