"Kitchen normally closes at 7:30, and we got there at 6:30. Even though, there was an empty (and clean) table—not to mention the half-dozen empty bar stools at the sushi counter—they told us that we needed to wait for half an hour if we wanted to stay; which we did. After waiting at the door for a while, the owner said something to her waitress, and she came and asked us to leave. It didn’t matter to them a bit that they had said we could wait, or the fact that we have been going there for years. Imagine if you go into a bank and stand in line, and then they come to you after a while and tell you that they can’t help you because they want to go home. They may know how to prepare food, but they’re really bad at running a business! Good luck if you decide to take a chance there."

"Today I went to sushi Kinoya because of a recommendation from my math teacher. I tried the Baked Eel Roll, and everything was very fresh, and they put a very good amount of Eel. I give it a 9/10 excellent. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxed, and the servers were very good. I will be taking friends here and I recommend coming and trying this joint out."
"Mellow local sushi with better fish. Their willingness to use fatter cuts of salmon is really all I need to trust. The fatter side of me would hope for more pieces per cut sushi order, but great taste and friendly service more than make up for it!"
