Neighbors - Playa Vista

"First time at this relatively new Playa Vista spot. Seated right away. Update - just visited again. Great fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Not overpowering sauce and very tasty. Other dish was cacio e pepe with salmon. A little different but nice with a hint of lemon in the sauce. Excellent lava cake for desert. Now live music on Friday and Sunday Brunch. 2nd update - another visit and another great dinner with friends. However, a huge disappointment that they do not do seperate checks or even split a tab other than 50/50. Very inconvenient and a pain when it should be so easy."

"Showed up around 8:30p on a Thursday night. The bartender did not look at us for a while, eventually nodded saying they'd help us shortly. We asked for the menus. Menus eventually came. All the holiday themed drinks were $18-$22 range (expensive in my book). There was another couple who looked ready to order, and he did not help them while we were there. The place looked like a corporate restaurant decorated with holiday decor. Decorations were cute but nothing like the advertised Miracle pop-up instagram account which shows an abundance of decorations (see attached photos to compare!). We scanned the menu, were ready to order and continued waiting for the bartender. We were there less than 10 minutes and left, as there were only 6 people at the bar (3 couples) and the bartender was not serving us lick-ity split like I would expect on a slow night. I was not thrilled at the idea of tipping 20% on of a $20 drink with such awful service. Thus we left and went a few doors down to the similarly priced Joliet bar (where we were immediately greeted, handed menus, and checked on constantly - highly recommend). We were happier spending our money there. Overall this place looked corporate-y, probably better for food?? I don't plan on being back given the prices and service quality was not as expected on a slow night. Maybe the bartender was inexperienced, or didn't care? Who knows."

"Burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were fantastic. The roasted tomato sauce that comes with the calamari was great as well. Friendly service while sitting at the bar on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Very interesting menu - I'll be back to try out other items."

"Great food...we really enjoyed the breakfast / brunch. The Playa Vista Omelette was amazing! The Flan dessert was literally the best I have ever had. Highly recommend for any occasion. Nice design inside and a fun place to watch sports. So happy it is in the neighborhood. Will definitely come back soon!"
