"Introduced to this place by a friend that lives in LA. Food quality is great and the place is nice. Cocktails are pretty good too. Would recommend this place if you are around the area looking for nice Mexican food."

"The happy hour is one of the best values in town!… hence it getting so busy. The pricing is great during HH but otherwise the price/quality is a bit overboard… Service can be understaffed on popular days and if you have a reservation, it’s more so just a formality. It can take +20 minutes to get your table after checking in for a res. Still a fan though. During HH: $20-35 per person. Non HH: $40-60 per person."

"We came to eat at Sol while visiting the LA area. We ordered the naked guacamole and a margarita to start, and the wagyu steak and shrimp quesadilla as the entrees. First impression was that the service was incredibly slow. It took at least 10 minutes to get chips and salsa. The chips are more of a tostada as they are tortillas that are not cut into smaller pieces, and are served with both a bean dip and salsa. My margarita arrived about 10 minutes after that and we still did not get our guacamole, so we asked the waitress if it was coming. Once the food finally arrived, they presentation was beautiful. It wasn't until about 5 minutes after the food came that they brought the guacamole which pretty much went to waste at that point. The food was good but really too many flavors going on and the sides take away from the main course. The wagyu steak was delicious but we ordered it medium and it was definitely rare in the center and well on the outside. The shrimp quesadilla was also tasty but also was overspiced. Mexican food is one of our favorites so it wasn't a matter if not being accustomed to spicy food, this was just too overpowering. Maybe this place could do better, but it was just OK especially for the price of the food. I don't know that we would come back again."

"I came here on the weekend for brunch right after they had just opened up. It wasn’t busy at all & I was by myself, so I just sat the bar. The environment & atmosphere of the place is really nice. The bartender serving me was great as well. I ordered a beer to start off with & subsequently got the Chili Verde Eggs & Jalapeño Cornbread. The food came out fairly quick which was nice. The cornbread was absolutely amazing, I’d come back here just to eat more of that alone. I thought the main food was okay to be honest, it was a bit too runny for my liking. It could have just been a texture thing for me, & not to say it wasn’t flavorful, but it seemed to be more liquid than I expected (maybe it’s supposed to be that way but I wasn’t a big fan). I also ordered the Chainsmoker cocktail which was delicious. I would recommend this place as their menu has several options & the atmosphere was very laid-back & inviting!"

"Excellent Food inspired by the coastal cooking of Baja, extraordinary service, beautiful location and relaxing vibe. Food: On this occasion (photos from October 2023 - I have visited this location at least 5 times), I ordered the Sol Steak Fajita which is served with borracho black beans & red rice. Steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection at exactly the right temperature. Chips are made friendly and are "endless" along with salsa. The black bean dip is amazing, and you should definitely try the guacamole. Mouthwatering, delicious and satisfying - eating here is an experience. Service: Exceptional service by Priscilla, Lindsey, Ashley and Edwin - thank you for making the experience enjoyable and memorable. Vibe: The vibe is relaxing. Indoor/outdoor seating is available - outdoor seating is covered. Good music playing in the background. Large bar area can accommodate large parties. Parking: Street parking is available for free but is difficult to find. I recommend that you park in the parking garage for a small fee. Sol covers validation, which is nice of them. I highly recommend trying anything on the menu - I am sure it is all delicious! And shout out to Lindsey, Priscilla, Ashley and Edwin - thank you!"
