"This is a very cute breakfast place. The ambience and service was perfect. We had the waffles and avocado toast and both tasted really good. Docking a star because they didn’t have a working espresso machine which is not a good look for a breakfast place. Service was painfully slow as well."

"We had breakfast here while staying at the hotel and it was pretty good overall. The breakfast burrito was large and the soyrizo tasted just like chorizo. The acai bowl had dried bananas instead of fresh bananas, which was a bit weird and I definitely would've preferred fresh bananas. The restaurant also is quite busy in the morning, so there may be a long wait."

"Enjoy this first world problems review. God help you if you happen to show up at 8pm mid week at Cafe Fig. All they care about is closing and guests are the last thing on their mind. I was ignored by no less than four capable employees. As a solo traveller I was obviously sitting at the bar. I was told immediately the bar was closing in 15 minutes so being the brilliant genius I am, I ordered two glasses of wine. Ten minutes later, I had to remind buddy who I was sitting directly in front of, about my wine. Now I’ve been a bartender before and pouring wine is the easiest part of the gig. I then made a small request for some bread on the side of my salad which I was assured was quite possible. Mediterranean salad was delivered without issue sans bread. Bread request was made again. Ten minutes later, bread request was made yet again - I CAN NOT eat salad without bread so everything was at a complete stand still. I asked two more individuals about the bread before it found its way to me. After all that carb anticipation, it was disappointing, no butter, oil, no ‘how is everything Miss’ - nada. The bar staff at this point had accelerated their closing speed to mach ten to the point that wind was blowing through my hair. You can imagine the task it was for me to get that second pre-ordered glass of vino. Anywho, all to say, ambiance was fantabulous, food was okay and service was a fail, equaling 2.5 stars rounded up to a generous 3 stars for my first ever dinner in LA, not worth leaving my $$$ hotel room for - though a promising location for a dine and dash. "Food - breakfast burrito was 3/5, it was good but not memorably great. Avocado toast was not good, pouches egg was almost fully cooked. Service - the waiter never came back to check how we were doing nor asked if food was ok (I wouldve told him the egg was poorly cooked). We finished our meal and sat for at least 10min keep trying to make eye contact to get our bill. Will not be back or recommend to others."

"It is really nice place that I had a brunch with my friends one time than two days later I had a lunch with my husband again. If you like berry than you should try waffles& berries. This is really good taste. It is hard to find the best food and nice place at the same time but this place has really amazing atmosphere as well. Love Cafe Fig))"
