"I didn't eat in the store. I purchased items from next door in the market. The rolls are so good. They freeze well. I also bought meatballs fresh in a bag, along with pastry. It's a drive but so well worth the trip."
"This review is for my most recent experience at Cortina’s. I made a takeout order. We ordered the food at 6:04 and we shopped around the Italian shop next to it for a little bit to pass the time. Our very simple order took until 7:04 to make. So about an hour. This wasn’t necessarily the issue- people who did walk in orders or who even had other online orders who came in after us got their food way before us. The two women working the register that night couldn’t find our order in the system at all. When they eventually did, it took an hour total to make a really simple pizza and a really simple salad- when the pizza shop wasn’t that busy. To add insult to injury- after it took an hour to make the pizza and a Caesar salad, the food just wasn’t that good. They only put the toppings in the center of the pizza, ruining the composition of the pizza. The middle of the pizza was very heavy ruining the structural integrity and texture of the pizza. I expect more from an Italian restaurant, and this was a disappointing pizza experience for not only the quality of the food, but for the poor customer service."

"I've been here about 3 times now and I'm always disappointed. Most of their menu is sandwiches which honestly aren't that great. Personally I'd rather get a sandwich from Jersey Mike's instead. The pasta is ok, not bad, but not really a standout. Tastes like spaghetti with canned sauce. The pizza is good, but not great. Everything takes quite a while though, you'll be waiting for a bit. I figured I'd give it one more shot before I wrote a review but nothing really seems to have changed."
"Been coming here for years and it's hands down the best pizza in OC. And don't let that keep you from trying their other stuff as it is superb. Ravioli, pasta, subs, salads. It's hard to go wrong. Definitely order ahead as sometimes the lines can be quite long, understandable for such a great eatery. Staff always super friendly despite being slammed so much. Another plus is the market next door, makes it easy to pick up a good dinner for the family or gathering with friends."
