"Delicious food. Welcoming atmosphere. Top-rate service. On the advice of our Uber driver we walked up to North Italia after a sunset stroll on the Santa Monica Pier. Thank you Jaime! This place was great! We sat outside. Despite the cool night air and the potential contact high from someone on the sidewalk, the heaters kept us cozy. We were surprised and delighted to be offered some toasted bread with "Good Oil" and vinegarette that happened to be prepared extra. Very tasty! I had the house special, a Bolognese with surprising depth of flavor and a delicious spicy sausage. Jay had meatballs and a seasonal vegetable salad. Our waiter suggested pairing the Bolognese with a California cabernet. Good choice! Oh, the bathrooms were swanky. Clean. Brass faucet handles. Tall ceilings."
