"Not an interesting experience for this time....We came last week & the store was almost empty & dull and so like the customer service also.The very same old collections of silk sarees & nothing for Men's & Ladies casual wears. There was zero thing to purchase.We were searching for the person (Ajeeta)who we've been taken care off for the last time,but it seemed she was not on duty on that day.Her absence was truly felt as we realized that she was the one who kept the store ambience very lively & active.She would make us to travel to the entire store within no time & with extra patience.Next time we would definitely make a call before visiting the store to check her availability as she would make our selections more easy, quick & comfortable with her professional expertise.Hope the store will restock with new collections soon. Everyone wants to make shopping a memorable experience not a hardship."

"This shop sells various Indian traditional wear. They have a reasonable men’s Kurta collection and I also saw various saree collections. There is a trial room too. There is free parking space available. I find the silk dhotis to be bit expensive ."

"I went to Nalli for my first time yesterday and it a was wonderful experience. Full disclosure, I am a white lady and I was invited to a home pooja for Navaratri at friends of my boyfriend. I had no idea what to wear to this to look proper so Mala who is the home owner took me to Nalli to help me shop. I live in Oakland and I have been speaking to a lot of women in my spiritual community about what to wear that is attractive and comfortable and I have made some purchases in Berkeley and also online. Some of them have worked out ok, some of them not as much. I am an inept Westerner who struggles with clothing in general so I need all the help and input I can get to look nice. Vineet the lovely staff member, who has only been working there for 3 days did a wonderful job measuring me to find out which size was appropriate, as you are not able to try on the garments. She also assisted me finding the right colors in 3 long kurtas/kurtis I purchased along with 2 pairs of Churidaar leggings and had suggestions of alternate leggings colors I could wear with the more intricate kurta/kurti with beautiful embroidered stitching. I am sure at some other point I will go back for a sari, once I understand how you wear it along with more kurtas/kurtis. I am an Optician and I work in Berkeley at a high end optical boutique that sells eyewear and eyeglass lenses and an average sale is $1200 for a pair of glasses. People often spend more than this though and they are trusting me with not only their money, but also their ability to see. People come to us for the excellent service as we pay attention to their needs and take care of each client from start to finish the best we can. We are now in the age of online shopping and service is important to me as a purchase is as simple as a click of a button as long as you have your phone with you. I appreciated Vineet’s expertise in an area and realm so unfamiliar to me and will definitely go back to see her when I want to get a Sari as she did not judge me for being a white lady in Nalli purchasing Indian garments. Vineet is definitely an asset to the company and I am amazed at how well she did for being there for such a short time. Mala also appreciated her help as well in purchasing a lovely and unique red cotton sleeveless dress that was there. Thank you for all of the help yesterday Vineet!"

"One of the very first direct shops from a major brand here in the bay area. They opened on Sep 20 2018. Good collection with a good variety as well!! They have polyester and kanchivaram silk sarees and other dresses for women, but also pattu veshtis and pattu pavadais for children. Dresses available in reasonable price ranges!"
