"Pizza is my thing; I love trying new local pizza spots whenever we travel. And don't get me wrong, I rarely find a pizza I don't love - but it's rare to find one that truly blows me away. Lucky Penny was just that; an unassuming spot in the funk zone that I had no doubt would be good, but was floored that it might be one of the best pies I've ever had. We can't wait to return!"

"We had heard this place was a good spot to get pizza and sit outside. The Funk Zone in general is awesome. And, this place does a great job with its outdoor space. The pizza was delicious as well. We waited at the window to be acknowledged for our order. It was unclear what was going on, but we waited patiently. Then, it was like pulling teeth to figure out drinks, order, etc. as the employees (all 3 of them) were very unresponsive, unfriendly, and unhelpful. I guess we were giving off the out-of-town vibe because they all seemed lovely and all smiles with each other and the locals ordering and eating lunch there. Still, the pizza and outdoor area are great if you want a casual lunch or dinner."

"We ordered garlic bread, butternut squash pizza and pepperoni pizza. Everything was fresh and full of flavor! Since it's outdoor seating, there are portable heaters to keep warm. You can also order food and enjoy it at one of the winery or spirit outdoor patio."

"The seating area is really nice because of the flowers, decor, and cleanliness. The bathroom is shared with The Lark next door. I really appreciate it when businesses supply self-serve water cups. I ordered the Margherita and Californian pizzas. The crust is really thin and crispy and has a nice smokey taste from the oven. I personally think the sauce on the Margherita was a bit too tart. The Californian was super interesting and had a unique flavor I've never tried before. The pesto and pine nuts were really tasty, but the lemon ricotta was pretty overpowering. Otherwise, both dishes were pretty tasty. We ordered 2 pizzas for 4 people (each pizza has 6 slices)."

"Pizza was pretty good, but I really liked the cheese board! Outdoor eating space was shady and cute, food didn’t take too long to come out, staff was cool, and while I wasn’t completely blown away, I would happily eat here again. Location is convenient with being so close to State and Stearns Wharf, but as is to be expected, parking is kind of a struggle so plan ahead!"
