"This downtown San Luis Obispo treasure is a must if you’ve got a hankering for authentic Mexican food. I first ordered the Tascalatte, a chocolate-coffee drink made from a mixture of roasted maize, ground pine nuts, achiote, vanilla and sugar, common in the Mexican state of Chiapas where the owner Pedro is from. I have never had anything like a Tascalatte before and crave one now. I also ordered the Pork molé Tostada, which was a special that day—probably the best molé I’ve ever had (and I worked in a café that made molé from scratch.) The prices were great and the wait staff very friendly and accommodating, with stories about the drinks and dishes. If you are in SLO or just traveling through, a stop at Corazón Café is a must!"

"If I could give more than 5 stars I honestly would. I've been to every café in town and this is the best, no question. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively as soon as you come in. The decor and plants are beautiful. The food is AMAZING--I got chilaquiles and my partner got tostada con mole verde. (I couldn't get my partner to stop eating long enough to get a picture, lol). The portions are huge, too. The drink offerings are traditional and I've never seen them in another café. I got the Pinole Latte. The people are so so friendly and kind. Come here if you get the chance!!"

"Staff is very friendly. Explained the menu and what was good and what fits with which protein. And his recommendations were amazing! It really hit the spot. The iced Mayan mocha coffee was flavorful."
