"A fantastic restaurant with a beautiful view of the creek. The atmosphere is incredible from the moment going down to the restaurant with a cable car to the interior. There are trees growing out of the restaurant, has multiple rooms for different vibes and has a cozy feeling of being surrounded by nature with homey feelings. The food was delicious & made me feel so cozy as well."

"Great service, Delicious food, and a unique indoor/outdoor setting overlooking the water. Monica our server was particularly delightful and made us feel welcome in Santa Cruz. Hope to return again for a drink or meal before sunset."

"Such a cool resturant. With so much history and unique style. Honestly a beautiful spot I'd highly recommend. I got an apple martini (so good) and the gnocchi dish. I'd highly recommend both! There seem to be numerous dining rooms, all different styles. All very beautiful. We had a reservation and they got us in on time. It was crowded but not overwhelmingly so. The have two parking lots so you have plenty of parking space. A great spot for celebrations. We didn't get to call an old style cab but saw one on our way out, I'd recommend utilizing that service!"

"We had Christmas dinner here, and it was perfect. We sat in the garden room, and Christian was our waiter. He definitely made it special. My husband used to come here as a little boy and feed the ducks with his Nono. It was so long ago that they still had a boat out there. The food was AMAZING! We both had the blackened prime rib. Delicious. The sides were very good. The dessert was awesome. The ambiance is for a special occasion or just because it is magical. It's beautiful. Ask to buy some rolls for leftovers! Tacky, maybe. But it's so worth it!! See ya soon, Shadowbrook!"

"Such a cute, kitch experience! The funicular down to the restaurant sets the tone for you. The old school lodge feel and the hustle of the bar area created excitement. The service once seated was fantastic, as the server knew the large menu inside and out and gave thoughtful recommendations based on a few basic questions he asked. The food itself is best described as home cooking. The best dishes that your grandmother makes are all here. Tasty, hearty, large portions. Highly recommend for the “experience” and at least the food is solid. Not a Michelin experience but definitely memorable and fun. HIGHLY recommend. Another fun experience is the shuttle that they offer using old school classic 50’s cabs!"
