"What I love about this market and restaurant is the good natured attitude of those who diligently work here. The food is aromatic and tastes quite good! I always order the Mantu (Afghan dumplings) but also can attest to the quality and taste of the other offerings on the menu. The market has many options in terms of products like honey, fresh baked bread, nuts, dates, herbs/spices, fresh halal lamb, afghan ice cream, and some other options in their chiller. It’s a good spot to: do some targeted grocery shopping for at home culinary excursions or enjoy some authentic Afghan food in the East Bay Area."
"This place is so good, I recommend it 100%. The chicken with the rice and the spicy green sauce. I have been here in 5 years, came back into the area today, still the Same great food! Steak and chicken plus rice, $12!!!!!! And it tastes fantastic! The best when in Antioch!"
