"Standard American cafe. Lean Reuben sandwich. There was nothing over the top about the meal. The staff was nice but the waitress was impersonal. Not that I needed any ‘how u doing sugar?’ Patronage. She had a mouth full of food when I entered the front door where there was a strange bar she stood behind and a separate register off to the right with another attendant. They rocked and rolled through orders serving folks efficiently. The outside patio looked nice and casual. Definitely an above average maintained diner with clean restrooms. It just felt out of place with such a busy Highway by the front door and weird parking by many folks. Something tells me that this whole area had a different vibe during John Steinbeck’s era. I should have checked out that museum in Salinas."
