"The waiter tonight was awesome. Unfortunately, I forgot his name, but he was the only waiter there, had at least 10 tables, no busser or anyone else helping him, and he took care of everyone, all the while smiling and having a good time. Just don't see that kind of person much these days. Food was good, Mud Pie was great, big portion!"

"The place is perfect, the food is amazing and our waitress Lidia is the most gentle, kind, patient and sweet of all. I asked for a Stuffed Salmon and it was ¡oh my God, this came right from heaven!, it was delicious, well balanced, and really tasty. My girls loved their dishes and my husband was mouth watering with his. It's a really nice place to have a great and delightful dinner."

"Everything was good (service, food, atmosphere) but the price vs food you get seemed a bit too much. I guess with the amount of traffic they get they can charge premium for basic meals. I think it was $15 extra for 5 shrimps on a salad. Sandwich was so high i barely fit it in my mouth and bread seemed on the dryer side, thats a $19 meal sandwich with coleslaw that was actually pretty good. Next time maybe I should get 2 foot-longs at Subway and eat them at the beach, i dont know, left fed and happy but with less money in the pocket."

"I brought my brother here while he was attending a convention in Santa Clara. He has never been to Santa Cruz and I will use any excuse to go to Santa Cruz. The day was freezing but salsa class/gathering was in full swing next to the Ideal Bar & Grill which made the atmosphere much more welcoming. I cannot resist anything that says award winning and the award winning clam chowder really tasted award winning. My meal was great, my bother was satisfied. The food was delicious, our server was fantastic. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert. You are next to the beach. I highly recommend."
