"It's usually all fresh. It's very rare that we get something cold. One of the favorite places me in the wife likes to go out to eat for breakfast. The food was really fresh outside of the toast and the coffee was burnt. Really delicious especially the chicken fried steak so fresh and makes you want to take another bite. It's a good spot for breakfast or lunch. Honestly good classic California diner food."

"On a 5 thousand mile trip, this place was recommended. Didn't disappoint. Best place we have stopped so far. Waitress was fast & friendly. The omelet was amazing. & my husband is really picky. He loved it. The food came out hot & fast."

"On a road trip and stopped at Rockin R due to it's proximity to the freeway. We will always patronize a locally owned restaurant over a chain. The server was excellent. Orders were taken in a friendly manner and beverages topped off. One of the most pleasant experiences we have in a while. The interior is country rustic and kind of forgettable. Seems like we have been here before but can't remember when. That sort of decor. The wife ordered a basic burger with a green salad. The burger came dry so you have to add the condiments. Not a bad idea. The only problem was the meat patty was cooked to very well done. That made it dry and chewy. I ordered a grilled turkey sandwich concoction that was fine in theory but not so good in execution. There was an aboundant amount of an oilly substance on the bread. It literally made my fingers wet. Therefore the taste of the sandwich was all about that substance. The green salads that accompanied the dishes were okay, just plain ice berg lettuce with tomato and cucumber slices with croutons. I will say that it is worth a stop just in case we had a one off experience. It is a better choice than what is offered nearby."
