About the Business

Sacred Woods

Sacred Woods is a unique institution located at 32281 North Harbor Drive in Fort Bragg, California. This institution is a combination of a clothing store, furniture store, home goods store, jewelry store, and park all in one.

Founded by Rachelle and Mel, Sacred Woods began as a small venture after a trip to Southeast Asia in 1989. What started with just two suitcases of handicrafts has now grown into a thriving business that ships two cargo containers annually. Rachelle and Mel travel back to Southeast Asia frequently to source the highest quality statuary, sculpture, handmade clothing, and jewelry. They have also developed relationships with suppliers of gazing stones.

Located in the North of Noyo Harbor, Sacred Woods offers a personalized shopping experience reminiscent of the couple's travels in Asia. Visitors can enjoy a cup of tea or a cold drink while browsing through Rachelle's stunning room designs, table settings, garden shop, and women's clothing section.

The store is filled with one-of-a-kind treasures, including handiwork, furniture, wood carvings, sculpture, gazing stones, yard art, jewelry, fabric, and clothing. Whether you're looking for a unique piece for your home or a special gift, Sacred Woods has something for every adventurous shopper.

Sacred Woods is open by appointment and walk-in, with deliveries available upon request. Visit this institution to explore a world of beautiful and unique items sourced from around the globe.

"My family’s favorite store to visit during every Ft. Bragg trip. We always find something fantastic here and the prices are very reasonable, especially if you’ve just been shopping in Mendocino. I especially love my dragon wind chime from here."

"Sacred Woods is full of meaningful objects — each piece seems to hold a story, to have traveled a long distance to arrive in this unique haven at Noyo Harbor. The staff shared that the owner makes consistent trips to Bali where she curates this beautiful and decadent array of wares. I bought a spiral charm here that seemed to perfectly answer what I was looking for — there’s a fair chance you find the same."

"This place has many garden statues, furniture, clothing, jewelry, and other unique goods from Asia. The lady working here has the most positive vibes and very helpful."

"So much to see. Loved everything here and the prices were not bad. If you use google maps to get there it will tell you your destination is on the right and all you will see is a cliff. It technically is right there just at the bottom of that drop off. Just keep going down the road will curve around and you will find it. There are two building and the outdoors to look through."
