"Their motto "When dependability counts, depend on us." So far a pure lie, horrible customer service, had one of their engines fail. Will see how they handle their warranty and if they stand behind their product. They have the engine now."

"Zero stars! bought a 454 boat engine from them, the worst people to work with. The engine was junk lost 40 pounds of oil pressure and had not even left the dock.They will not stand behind the engine, will not pay any labor, now will not even return my money. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MARINE ENGINES INC OR FROM RUNS NEW MARINE ENGINES THESE ARE THE ENGINES THEY SELL. I am currently out 4000.00. The labor is a joke. They simply say the failure was not their fault. The list of problems with this motor was a mile long."

"Warranty repair: Time from failure to repair 6 weeks. Out of pocket costs: Tow the car home: $200.00 Tow the car to the mechanic: $92.00 What Grooms didn’t cover for the mechanic: $1330.62 Car rental for 6 weeks (economy car): $1554.24 2 and a half day of vacation time. Total Out of pocket expenses: $3176.86 I had a long detailed recorded of my misadventures with Grooms but it is too long and won't publish. The first engine from Grooms failed after 9 weeks for driving with a broke crank shaft. It took 6 weeks to resolve the issue and cost me another $3,176.86."

"If there was an option for 0 stars, I'd do it. Apparently they have given me 2 faulty engines for my 2001 Cherokee sport now. 1st one had a knock, 2nd had topside loud tick. 2 engines with issues? this is ridiculous. I cannot describe how livid I am right now, my jeep is in Michigan and im in florida, was supposed to drive it down with new engine. Now 2 months later everything is still in limbo. How are you guys still in business!? Horrible engines/horrible customer service."

"I have dealt with Grooms for years. I am sorry to say in the last couple of years the quality of their work has gone down a lot. They used to have a quality product but for some reason they lost their way. As a reputable shop owner I depend on quality parts and suppliers. Everyone makes mistakes and it is not that you do its how you take care of that mistake. The last two engines that I worked on for them had issues. While I was able to repair them and payment and warranty approval was given by Grooms, they have never paid the claim. They stiffed me for about 1400 dollars. In business not the end of the world for me but I am very disappointed. I wont ever use them again. They will leave you out in the cold...."
