The Knoxville Melting Pot is a unique dining experience located in the heart of the Old City historical district. Nestled at the end of Central Street, this restaurant has been creating perfect nights out for over twenty years. The Melting Pot offers a leisurely 4-course dining experience centered around the art of fondue. From cheese fondues prepared table side to fresh salads, exquisite entrees, and decadent chocolate fondues, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Gluten-free options are available for all four courses, and most food allergies can be accommodated.
Set inside a historic building, the Knoxville Melting Pot offers a romantic atmosphere perfect for date nights, special occasions, business gatherings, or casual nights out. Paid parking is available at the SP Parking Central Parking Lot, while free parking can be found under the interstate overpass next to Barley’s Pizza. Please note that the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible at this time, but efforts are being made to improve accessibility in the future. "My husband and I went for Valentine's Day for a late lunch. They had a set menu, which was fine. We added a lobster tail to our order. They failed to remove the digestive tract from the tail. It was disgusting. I removed what I could see. I should've had them take it back, but I didn't. The rest of the food was great as usual! The service was a little slower than usual, and they weren't terribly busy yet. They had a sign posted at the hostess desk saying you can only have 1.5 hours to eat. I had no idea there was a time limit to the meal. They automatically added a 22% gratuity to the bill also which we didn't like. All that said, I love The Melting Pot and will go back for now, although the way the restaurant is managed seems to be changing. However, I will not order a lobster tail again!"
"We had the best server, Katelyn (not sure how she spells it) who hosted our party and made sure the two vegans in our group were well-accommodated. She explained the process to those of us who had never been to The Melting Pot and made sure we had a fantastic dinner. It was truly such a special evening and I can’t wait to go back! Also, the vegan options were absolutely amazing!"
"I came here for my 60th birthday. It was an absolute blast. Our server Zack was super awesome and very attentive. I will definitely come back after the first of the year with friends and family from out of town. What a perfect evening with my Son and daughter-in-law."
"My husband and I came for the first time to have dinner for our first wedding anniversary, and we truly had a wonderful dining experience. Our server, Autumn, was incredible! She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations! We decided to have the Big Night Out to try a little bit of everything! She even gave us the sweetest card to remember the occasion. We will most definitely be coming back to see Autumn and eat yummy food!"
