"This will be a long review. First of all, John, Hillary, Kaylin, the service you provided was excellent! And to all those at the back of house what great food! This was our first night in Nashville and I have to say James Hideaway set the bar very high! If you have never been to Nashville I recommend you save this as the best place for last. We had the whiskey dinner, that paired with the live music was a phenomenal experience. I absolutely, 100% recommend this spot on your visit to Nashville!"
"One of the best meals of our vacation. Thanks to a local friend we ended up here and the meal was delicious and thoughtful. Ordered the fried ocra - amazing light and full of flavor. Order the Meatloaf and it was incredible. I am still dreaming about how every bite of my meal was perfect. Local entertainment was great too."
"This place sell small amounts of average food for the price of James Beard award winning chef’s food. 22$ for a pot pie the size of my hand that tastes as good as a banquet pot pie and about the same size. Also found a bone in it. Yum. Fug these prices for average food."
"From the outside, this little gem doesn’t look like much. At first glance, it’s an unassuming bar in a strip mall but what lies inside is pure Nashville magic. For us, Jane’s Hideaway perfectly captured the authentic essence of Nashville that we were looking for. The atmosphere is so relaxed and yet the food paralleled, if not exceeded, some of the best dinner we had in the downtown area with a much more reasonable price tag and better value. We started off with the famous deviled eggs, okra fries, and some bread and whipped butter. For dinner my friend had the vegan poke bowl, I had the hot chicken sandwich, and my other friend got the short rib and shrimp over grits. Everything was truly cooked to perfection and so delicious. The craft cocktails were equally delicious. Shortly into our meal the “Country Cousins” band started and they were so good. The perfect finishing touch to a wonderful meal and experience. I can’t recommend Jane’s Hideaway enough! It’s so worth the short trip over the bridge."
